-I knew coming into this game that the crowd in the NWA would boo Pierre-Luc Dubois relentlessly whenever he had the puck. Boy, did they not disappoint.

-It felt like forever until they scored the first goal. Greg "Hassle" Hofmann from a perfect feed by Max Domi with 5 minutes left in the first.

-#SexiTexi had his contractually-obligated "Once per game deke-into-shot" moment that maybe would have went in on the rebound had Blake Wheeler not bulldozed the net.

-I absolutely adore our power play this year. We're currently 16th in PP% with an even 20%. I feel like it'll be Top-10 by year's end.

-Andrew Peeke with the mother of all snipes on the empty net from the right-side faceoff circle on our own end.

-Elvis recorded a shutout! The King of Rock and Roll definitely checked a few people into the Heartbreak Hotel tonight.

Samsonov is back. Couple fluky goals but overall looked solid.

Apparently any player the Caps call up plays well. Somehow the Leason-Sgarbossa-Malenstyn line held their own tonight.

Jake Allen looked baaaaad. Even from warmups he looked stiff, and montembault looked better during warmups at least.

great game. I was watching it walking through Epcot so I missed some stuff. Don’t really know what happened on the Goalfield goal. Also wow can these kids play. The one most noticeable for me was leason. I recommend getting the real Connor mcjesus or Jensen. I’m gonna get a sprong Jersey because he is the best .

It’s a thing of beauty

Spezza is one of the very few people left in the league that is willing to just take a good old-fashioned slapshot out of nowhere and actually score. This is a shot I wish was more common, the Yzerman goal was iconic and I want to see it more lol. I realize goalies are much better these days so it's less viable, but the power you can get from a good slapshot still has a place imo, I hope more people work on refining their accuracy with their slapshot to make it more common/viable.

He is an absolute beauty to watch. I want nothing more than to see him win a Cup, 🙏🤞with TOR

Its the same with Dman and point shots. Seems guys prefer passing more than shooting or when they get a goal its in close. Bouchard and other young Dman are bringing back point shots though so thats good.

Forwards though especially the rookies should be watching as adding a spezza slap shot to your arsenal would probs make for more points
