I think that the highest Mikheyev will bring is a fourth, unless he comes back off the IR list and lights on fire.

Too many holes in this post. Sure Buffalo needs goalie help, now and in the future, But they are best just to go into the summer with tons of $$$$ and sign a couple of goalies instead of Mrzarek.
Mikheyev isn't getting close to that. Ritchie and his contract this year and next just can't be dumped because he hasn't worked out with Leafs.

Buffalo NEEDS to improve the GK NOW The team is averaging nearly 3 goals a game yet giving up 5 or more goals in 6 of the last 8 games.
Dell is awful, Subban is not the answer, and maybe Mrázek is not either, but the players will become disheartened unless management does something.
I like Pysyk, but GK right now is needed more than him, especially since Jokiharju is back.
This trade may actually favor Buffalo.
Besides maybe Mark will resign with Buffalo next season.
