Well I am a BOG member, and I'm saying this: Dangles, Im asking you to tone down your comments. They are unecessary and can be hurtful at times. You ask for more respect from me, yet you constantly insult me and belittle me, even when I'm speaking about something that is in no ways relevant to you. I'll gladly give you more respect, but I'd want some back as well. I'm saying this as politely as I can. This doesn't just apply to me though, as I've seen you go after many other GMs just because you don't like them. I think we should all take a breather and stop from the hurtful comments.

I told you about this in the BOG thread. You ignored it and replied to another user insulting them. So I can't say I haven't asked you this before. Just so it's clear, I'll say it again. We will gladly give you more respect Dangles. But you also need to give just as much respect back to the rest of us. I am in no way a dictator, a hypocrite, or delusional, yet you constantly call me that. I'm asking for this to end once and for all. I'm hoping I can get a positive response to this message, one without an insult. Thank you

In addition, the mods are letting the GM game resolve the ongoing situation between Dirty Dangles and David Booth. Unless it is very obvious, we are not going to hand out infraction for subtle trolling.

I get some people don't like DD, but can we relax on the obvious trolling, and obvious baits, and then reporting it? That's just as bad as saying something rude or mean in reply to it. I don't like involving myself in this stuff, but some people have gotten a little too "mob and pitchforks" with him

Signed Players is the sum of all the contract amounts of your 20-23 man roster. So Kopitar, Carter, Toffoli, plus the other 17-20 guys you have. And no exact date yet on FA start, we need to come up with it

I traded Matt Greene who was bought out afterwards. What do I do with that as his buyout is showing on my feed? Count as a discrepency?

On Sunday, Whisper says "...and it's a deal" regarding a Matthews deal, and then he flip-flops after having said that. He says he'll hold onto Matthews for me, but Zach, apparently unaware that Whisper had said that, snatches him while I'm asleep. Thus, Whisper broke his promise to me twice.

And yesterday, Booth makes a Justin Schultz sweepstakes, and judging by his comments, I would've won it. But he pulls a fast one that stuns everyone but Werenski when he calls off the sweepstakes, again while I sleep. Why make a fake sweepstakes for Schultz when he had that Faulk deal in his back pocket?

I'm still steaming mad, but to ragequit over this would be unprofessional. Besides, I have free agency coming up... probably.

Welcome to the GM game. Unfortunately it happens all the time. That's why I've started cutting the time I will spend on a negotiation down.
If I make a proposal you like and you are already in the middle of something, fine, I'll wait a bit for you to finish. If you run around trying to get more or start a bidding war, I'll probably drop out.

I try to negotiate in good faith, but have had to compromise a little so as not to put myself at too much of a disadvantage.
Not everyone does business the same way. I've missed out on quite a few players because it is typically a one-sided approach.

My advice is to just accept it for what it is. Not everyone has integrity and you'll learn which GM's are good to deal with and which ones you have to have a little/lot more patience with before you even pick up the phone and steel yourself for the negotiations.

Just so it's clear Icegirl, I'm sorry if I upset you, but I told you I would make a final decision last night, and I wouldn't change it. I had also told you that if I moved Faulk, it would defeat the purpose of me then moving Schultz. I made that very clear and you understood that. So I don't see why now that I decided to go with the offer that I felt was better should upset you so much. I never said yes or anything, I made it clear you were up against others. Yet I am sorry if I upset you. I hope you can forgive me - DB7
