I know Edvinsson was just drafted but it looks like an Yzer-steal again, and Lundell just...that's a player to build around. Not sure if it makes sense for those two but

I don't see Arizona accepting the Isles package, they would be looking for an elite asset like Wahlstrom or Dobson which the Isles would say no too. Just don't see him getting moved to LI.

The values on these are all over the board. DET offer sucks, Isles, Rangers, WPG, MIN and FLA are over pays.

"DET offer sucks"? As a Wings fan, I wouldn't accept this deal. Edvinsson was a boom or bust pick, and right now he's booming. I can easily see him becoming even better than Chychrun when he hits his stride in the NHL. Especially with the way Chychrun has been playing right now, Edvinsson is a non-starter in this trade.

You can turn it down all you want, Zadina hasn’t done jack, Edvinsson ok and a 2nd. FLA offer has 2 young top 6 guys that are doing great in the NHL. Everybody is protective of their prospects but even a DET fan has to admit Zadina has been disappointing. He was one of the DET guys I was looking forward to seeing when I went to the Avs DET game and he was at best invisible I was disappointed. But back to it you are talking about a young top pairing dman on a team friendly deal, a boom or bust prospect, a disappointing guy and a 2nd is a weak offer.

Just an FYI but that boom or bust prospect was in McKenzie’s top 3 during the final draft rankings. He even said some professional scouts had him #1. That disappointing guy is providing the same level of output that of one of the guys in Florida that you said, “2 young top 6 guys that are doing great in the NHL”. So when you break it down Edvinsson = Lundell, Zadina = Tippett, 2nd = Mamin, I’m not seeing it.

Except that’s not it. Lundeen is doing it in the NHL. The SHL is what the 4th best pro league? And while sure that’s big expectations they aren’t the same. Like I said I watched Zadina in person Friday and Tippet Sunday, Zadina isn’t = Tippet. So yeah I still think the wings offer sucks.

If that’s the case then you don’t trade for Chychrun. DET is on the right track, I’ve been super impressed with Seider, and to a slightly lesser degree Raymond, but DET needs to add young talent up and down the line up not make trades sending multiple of those guys out. Sure Zadina has been underwhelming let’s say but if you truly believe Edvinnson is going to be better than skip it.

Seider with Chychrun would probably be the best duo in the NHL for years to come

For the next 3 years to come, is detriot even done rebuilding by then? Edvinsson has that kind of potential too and is still on his ELC by then

Flames - underpay, probably need more value going out
Wings - overpay? More unnecessary for their direction
Panthers - pretty fair, maybe a bit underpay
Wild - fair but unnecessary, they dont need defense
Islanders - underpay, no real value here besides Beau and he doesnt help AZ
Rangers - Fair? Depends where you value Kakko imo, could go either way
Blues - underpay, SP is a nice prospect but no where near JC
Leafs - fair, Robertson has kinda fallen off a bit since his initial hype so this seems fine
Jets - fair, maybe a bit overpay

SHL is statistically the third best behind the NHL and KHL. It’s also worth noting defensemen taking longer to develop and individuals Edvinsson’s size. Further, we watched Seider have a great year in the SHL and then anchoring a top pairing in the NHL so I don’t see your point. I never once claimed Lundell isn’t a quality piece but rather comparable value to Edvinsson per McKenzie’s aggregated list. You’re comparing one game of Zadina and Tippett, however, overall production is similar with Zadina/Tippett calling one disappointing and the other a top 6 player. So yeah doesn’t make any logical sense to me.

Bring back Detroit Colorado rivalry

Yeah Zadina hasn't had the production as expected and it has humbled him a bit. He has been playing well and doing all the little things right. I think once Vrána comes back it could help Zadina if it doesn't then I think he will be available.

Yeah DET has some good pieces to build around and I think you’re spot on. To often imo fans want to move on from prospects forgetting that these guys are drafted at 18.
