your argueing about Leafs Bias because Matthews is #6 and not higher up but the sharks have a guy (Timo Meier) 25GP 12 Goals 29 points +10 on a team with a -6 Goal differential. that is more a sign of east coast Bias to me!.

Marchand is top five in points per game over the last three seasons while being elite defensively. I just can’t see the justification leaving him outside the top ten. My pick to get bumped would be barkov, though he’s a fantastic player.

I also have a tough time with kucherov. He just hasn’t played.

Not just to be bias here but I am taking Timo Meier over most the names in the bottom tier of your list. Same for Logan Couture who is criminally underrated on this site.

Matthews isnt top 2.... Leon and Mcdavid are better and this year Ovechkin is on another level... Matthews is still really good but why make such a heavy claim? hard to argue vs the 2 guys sitting 16p ahead of him. lol Matthews is top 2-3 in scoring goals? but the league is extremely talented i dont have him in my top 2

Over the last two seasons, Meier is tied for 92nd in points, 121st in points per game, tied for 82nd in goals, 112th in goals per page.

Meier is a very good player. He is not top 50.

The problem, that I think we can all agree on, is that rankings in general have two issues:
1.) There is always going to be bias for or against a player. Always. No matter how much someone says otherwise. We have Sharks fans arguing for Sharks players and Leafs fans arguing for Leafs players. (That's not a shot at either fan base; it's just an observation).
2.) Rankings are always in flux because the play of each player is always in flux. It is almost as if we should just say, "McDavid is number 1. After that, it's your own personal opinion."
