Barbashev (27 points) and Buchnevich (30 points) also very quietly having stellar seasons

Oh yeah Buchnevich is a star. One of the best two way wingers in the game

And the rangers traded him for Blais and a 2nd after he almost had 50 points...

Could have easily got a 1st but decided to undervalue him

And I dropped him in fantasy after his slow start, choosing to keep Taylor Hall instead frown

(Since then I've dropped Hall for Chandler Stephenson though, who's been terrific)

I wish the caps still had Stephenson

They definitely took the 1st offer - Buchnevich is what you hope Laf/Kakko turn into. He’s exactly what the Rangers need right now too, they are pretenders as constructed

He's having a whale of a year, he's even replaced Karlsson as the Knights' #1C, though he'll likely be demoted to #2 when Eichel is ready

I think Stephenson will be the 3c as I dont see them breaking up the misfit line (March-Karl-Smith)

Got a feeling he will be on the third line with Dadonov and Patrick as at the beginning of the season that line was pretty good.

Blue looks good, the white and tiny bit of red one is terrible

I hear that, but he (Stephenson) was paired with Marchessault and Smith while Stone, Karlsson and Pacioretty were out, and they did pretty well

Elvis got hurt? I know Tarasov got hurt but i didn’t know Elvis did too, unless you mean both team lost a goalie

I had to follow the game on Twitter (was out of town), and read this wrong, I missed the word “started”, so I assumed that Elvis got hurt too. That’s on me.

Canucks-Seattle:

A smallish Canuck forward gets hit @ centre ice and TV employees of SN say it's an "egregious/DOPS-review" play on Kraken's Soucy...

That's not what it is!
What it is, is : A dumb suicide pass from the Canucks D-Man to the smallish forward!!

(Reminds me of Khaira/Jones hit pre-break).

Solution - staple the D-Man's arse to the bench for trying to kill his own player - problem solved!

And somehow we only had to pay 2 3rd round picks for him

Before I said the Muzzin trade was the best trade Dubas ever pulled. Nope

Campebell + Clifford (retained) for Moore + 2 3rds takes first place and will probs never be surpassed.

The roster that the Rangers have constructed is puzzling
Paying Goodrow 3.6x6 to be 4C
Trading Buchnevich so Dryden Hunt could be a top 6 RW

The Rangers are looking like a top heavy team with no depth, kinda like the Leafs a couple years ago. 4-5 guys that can produce.

Trading Buchnevich for Blais and a 2nd was an absolute head-scratcher. First of all, because Buchnevich is a terrific top 6 winger who was coming off a career year (48 points in 56 games), and secondly, because the return was a steal for the Blues. A 4th line grinder in Blais and a 2nd for a guy who led his team in scoring and was almost a point per game player (and he's on pace to hit that this year)? And it's not like they couldn't have gotten more for him-the Coyotes got a 1st and a 3rd for Christian Dvorak. Buchnevich has 11 goals and 19 assists, Dvorak has 5 and 7.
Don't know what Drury was thinking.

I thought Dvorak went for a 1st and 2nd...

But yeah Buch could have got a similar return to what Kapenan got a 1st + B prospect.

WT Fook...
Kraken are a bush-league team at the level of skill equal to 23-penalty killers.

Yet the staff won't challenge a critical goal (4-2 now or 3-2 if they win it ~10min to go) - for fear of taking 2min in the sin bin.

They are a 23-PK specialists team ffs.

Pathetic Org...

They went from having one of brightest figures in the league to a 2 year window. They should have traded for Eichel , traded Zibanejad and sign Buch long term

They apparently rejected because they didnt want to trade either Lundqvist or Schneider for Eichel

Honestly would have gladly gave up either for him
