Resurrection 2223

Created by: The_Architect
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 23, 2021
Published: Dec. 23, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hertl, Fosberg, Klingberg and Kuemper are UFA signings. Byron has to be unloaded somehow ( I didn't bother finding a trade partner) and Lehkonen needs to be traded, in order to make cap room for Suzuki ' s extension. Alzner cap retention will also be relieved by 1M in 22-23 and could be used to also bridge Romanov on the cheap considering he hasn't taken big strides. The year after, Drouin will be off the books and that will give the GM alot of slack to bridge Caufield and Byrem (unless they explode, which in that case hard choices will have to be made)

The Av's trade is a doozie. You thinking Sakic is going to have a lobotomy?

The only ones that are somewhat realistic are the Chiarot and Allen deals. Although I think a different team would trade for Allen

Think they'd gladly trade Caufield and Mailloux for Byram lol

And I think they'll win cups with Price before they do with Byrem or Caufield... if ever. So it's up to Sakic to decide with who he has a better chance. He can take it or leave it. And it's COL who should be giving up a 1st in that trade with Caufield, not the Habs.

Mailloux should be untouchable. They don't have any RD prospect depth.

lol sakic will leave it. even with half retention price's contract is still bad.

also byram > caufield. hell even newhook > caufield. habs did the avs a favor.

Mailloux should be untouchable, but for completely different reason. No one shouldn't have touched him at all at the latest draft.

5.25 mill per is a bad contract? It's a good thing you're not the GM. Byrem and Newhook didn't have a playoff performance like Caufield, so his stock is still higher for now.

Maybe that 19 yo old chick shouldn't had touched him when he was 17.

I mean it's a bit of a red flag if you think this one was the biggest issue in that whole incident. Not him photographing the act without permission or anything Huh?

avs dont want Price, and in no way does he have the value even 50% retained to get Byram or another teams Byram level young player

Yup between those 2 issues an adult having an intimate relationship with a minor bothers me more.

If you told Sakic that he'll win 2 cups with Price by giving up Byrem, he'd do it.

you do realize that 31 other fan bases and NHL team front offices haven't had their head in the sand the last 4 years, Price has been a below average starting NHL goalie over the last 4 years,

so no Price isn't bringing any team cups, never mind multiple.

Based on what all of his Stanley cup wins before? Or maybe it’s all the games he played this year? You could make it price 50% retained and Caulfield and the Avs aren’t trading Byram. Untouchable.

yea. it is. he's signed for 4 more years. has on ice and off ice issues and is in clear decline. price's contract is the 2nd worse contract in the league behind skinner,

newhook and byram haven't regressed like caufield. steady progression on their end. their stock is higher than caufields and trending higher.

Just a heads up, the age of consent in Sweden is 15. There was nothing illegal in what they did in that regard.
