I’ll start by saying I do agree, the stars need to produce and injuries shouldn’t be an excuse, but not being able to play defense without Muzzin has been a repeated issue, and Muzzin is fairly injury prone (injured now, injured against the Habs, injured against Columbus). Bringing in a guy like Chiarot wouldn’t be the worst idea for the Leafs to stabilize their bottom pair (might even move one of Chiarot/Muzzin to the right side) and have a guy that can log top 4 minutes in case of an injury. I don’t think he’s worth Robertson+1st or anything crazy, but from a purely “would this be beneficial” standpoint I think that’s definitely something the Leafs should be looking into. That and a better 3C than Kampf, it would be nice if they had someone that doesn’t make you claw your eyes if they have to play in the top 6 and could get some consistent secondary scoring if the big 4 do dry up (Kase was a great pick up, and I love him and Spezza, but you do need another reliable scoring option in the bottom 6 that can be counted on to contribute a couple goals over the course of a 7-game series imo, and I don’t trust Kampf, Mikheyev, or Engvall to be that guy).


I wholeheartedly agree with the vast majority of this. I just didn't take to the earlier notion that injuries, or more-so a lack of preparation for them, has been what's plagued the Leafs. Obviously losing good players is never ideal, but the guys who were still playing were more than capable of pulling through and they just didn't.

this games proves that we need help on offense. I’ve saying that for a while. The goal tending is inconsistent but solid. Vitek is great. Sammy hasn’t played in years it feels like. I didn’t watch today’s game because I couldn’t put myself with people not moving around. Something needs to change. I think we need to sign kane and trade for good thing. Tyler T and Keller are my two guys. I’m going to work on the now. Keller is a reach but I will try to make it work

Ngl I did check because I thought Bergeron was #1 in FO% this year, and this player literally doesn’t exist. Even if you’re counting guys with almost no FOW (these all have under 20), there’s only 6 guys higher than Bergeron (Jack Drury, Verhaeghe, Guentzel, Kyrou, Matt Luff, and Forsberg) and none of them have higher than Aho’s 1.2 points per game. I saw you said he was on the Stars, and Robertson has the other two but he hasn’t taken a faceoff this year.

The player was Blake Comeau
100% faceoff percentage (Higher than Bergeron's 63%)
50% shooting percentage (Higher than Ovechkin's 15%)
0.17 points per game (Same as Sebastian Aho [NYI] 0.17 points per game)

When checking NHL shooting percentage I noticed Comeau was 2nd on the list so I thought it was pretty funny to manipulate stats

When you mentioned Dallas I knew it was Comeau, he was my second guess behind Hughes (you can’t really blame me considering the person asking the question).

Huh, I used TSN because I know they’re usually dumb about that as well (Forsberg and Luff are both 1-0 and at the top of the list) but for some reason they don’t have Comeau up there. This is why I normally use sites like quanthockey or natural stat trick for stats like this lol

So the Flames lose to the Oilers who hadn't won a game since Dec 18th yet are beating the Blues 7-1

I guess we be in Bizarro World now

Also ACGM flooded with Parayko trades as I guess hes been ass this game lul
