This isn't happening. Minnesota isn't trading Marcus foligno at all. Foligno is the heart and soul of our team! This certain Canucks fans sending boeser to Minnesota, we aren't interested

How? Not disagreeing, just curious. You get boessers RFA rights, I wouldn't want it to be Foligno but maybe someone else

Because Winger isn't a need. Whatever little money Minnesota has isn't going toward a Winger. Also , foligno is going nowhere. We aren't interested in trading him.

Not sure if you forget to read the full thing, but if they only have to really give up Hunt and say Dewar/duhaime or someone like that and dump Rasks cap on Vancouver as well, Boesers RFA rights are worth a lot more than that next off season, would not do it for Foligno as stated previously. Boesser is an upgrade compared to any wing outside the top 6, potentially top 2, so to say they wouldn't want him is aggressive.

If Peter Chiarelli and Paul Fenton ran the Nucks.

The Boston and Washington trades are terrible for the Canucks. They decline the Minnesota trade as well

Duhaime and dewar are 4th line Wingers. Duhaime had flexibility to play top 6 and is seen as the next Marcus foligno by staff and fans. Has played every game as a rookie. Don't really understand why other fanbase can't understand that , or respect we don't want boeser, or dedicate what little money we have to Winger

Caps decline. Jensen is playing very well this year, and Hathaway is on a team-friendly deal and is a great role player. Garland is decent but would only further clog the wings in DC, likely leading to even less ice time for McMichael. Washington would be better off keeping the players they have now and waiting for Mantha to return.

Boeser QO is $7.5m. He's not worth it, and MN doesn't have the cap to make it work.

Disagree. If I'm the Caps I'm taking that so fast. Love Jensen and Hath but Garland is an amazing play driving winger. You can replace Jensen and Hathaway easier than find someone like Garland.

That's amazing. Then next season move Eller and bring in McM.

Okay, so then dewar and in the offseason you flip boeser for a first and a prospect who's better than dewar and dont spend any cap on him going forward, to say that if you can fit him under the cap in the CY wouldn't be a huge addition to this team, and that his RFA rights aren't a legit asset is unreal. Plus if you decide to move on from Fiala, our top 6 doesnt have a right hand winger, so you have an option to keep him if you move Fiala, or go ahead and move both and continue to build a strong prospect pipeline.

Bruins would love that, even though they would basically have to waive or instantly trade halak. Doubt the Canucks would do it.

If the wild moved rask out, and van retained, they would have the cap, no? you would have to compare him to the worst player on the 4th line to see what his true worth to the team is.

Jensen leaving gives you a gaping hole at RD though. Jensen is seemingly the only one of the 3 RD that can actually play defense well, and I don't see any RD on the team or in the system being capable of filling the role he plays and getting his amount of minutes. Hathaway is more replaceable, I just don't think Garland is worth ruining the right side for, and his contract will make the cap even more difficult to maneuver with, even with a proposed drop of Eller.

Maybe a different player or pick would be better for this but in its current state, I'm not a fan.

TvR is pretty dam good and could hold down that 2RHD. If not, can probably trade for someone. It's just there aren't very much play driving wingers like Garland on the market for his age and cap hit.

The QO doesn't change for next year. VAN can't retain on a contract that doesn't exist. MN does not have the cap space for that.

It doesn't matter how much better Boeser is than the 12th FWD. That's not the spot he's playing. It's how much of an upgrade and cost difference he is between Kap, Zucc, Fiala, and Boldy. Kap and Boldy are clearly better for their play and cap hits. Zucc and Fiala are lateral moves to Boeser for play and cap hits.

Losing Foligno is is a bigger loss than gaining Boeser. Foligno is the heart and soul of the team, and the GREEF shutdown line is just and average line unless all 3 of JEE, Greenway, and Foligno are together.
