Hughes got robbed twice (Breakaway challenge and ASG MVP)

But overall ASG was mid

Some of the skills competitions were underwhelming, players obviously weren’t trying

I rather watch them play at the Olympics but oh well

Kuzy didn’t try at all the the speed comp. at all

Nawh, I think Giroux was the clear MVP. They had the same points, but Hughes had an ENG. Giroux stood out more IMO, but Hughes played very well.

Yeah probably but I thought they would give it to Hughes because he’s a bigger “name”
And because I’m biased

Laf probably has more potential than Kakko does yes, but both of them are getting shafted in NYR. Or at least that's what I think.

I think both of them have gotten top line minutes (Kakko more). But haven’t played as good as they should have. Kakko can only play defense and Laf can only score

It's true, Kakko's offensive game has taken a dive from what he was as a junior. He has focused into not being a liability to his team on 5v5 if he can't be in the scoring unit. In that sense he's quite a valuable player.

If he can reach the scoring prowess he had in Liiga a few years ago, he'd instantly become one of the most complete young players in the entire league. That's probably something NYR are banking towards as well.

Lafreniere's TOI is "4th Line"

I genuinely wonder if he would be available from NYR

Chiarot, Lehkonen, Toffoli for Kravstov + Lafreniere

How close is that? I don't really know what Laf's value would be.

If Rangers management really feel they can go all the way to the cup finals, I could see them doing this. As sometimes you need to make big sacrifices to win

I think Jason Robertson has a strong case to get paid more than Svechnikov on his next contract. He has the edge in almost every offensive and defensive metric and he’s better on the PP

The problem is despite him getting top like minutes with two very good players, he still isn’t getting points. Which is obviously concerning. On top of that he does get some PP minutes
I don’t know what else they can do to make him score

They have Chris Drury as their GM so you never know

Top 6 forward + Middle 6 forward + #4 Defender. Would really help them if they wanted to win now. Not sure how'd they make the cap work, but I think it would be a decent deal if you think Laf is expendable.

Never mind they can
Just under 30M in cap space
But a lot of free agents
Robertson, Pavelski, Radalov, Klingberg, both goalies and more
So if they trade Klingberg and other pending UFAs, they can easily sign up

If Jason Robertson was in a Canadian market, he’d get soooooooooo much more love

I think Rangers would trade him for a young center

For sure lol - it’s crazy because he’s getting more recognition now because he’s consistently putting up points, but most fans still have no idea how good he actually is. He’s a superstar, kind of reminds me of Mark Stone.

We need to remember that the guy is, despite his low ice time, a first overall pick, from just 1,5 years ago.

That would be such a major steal from Habs like none other. Like, we're talking about Kreider+Nemeth+Blais+maybe a 2nd to compensate the difference between Chiarot and Nemeth for Caufield+Guhle.

Robo is freaking elite. I'd want DAL to re-sign him with a Svechnikov contract.

The guy is equal to him, and one step down from Kaprizov. He's that good.

He still has a long way to go to catch Lehkonen though. Maybe he does it at some point, but have you heard how Elliotte Friedman said Lehkonen is worth a Top Prospect + a 1st.

I disagree. Robertson is at worst equal to Kaprizov and there’s an argument he’s better.
