Description
Saw another post with these 4 guys and really liked it. Wanted to take a shot at the trade values

Arizona takes on Ritchie deal along with a minor prospect and second to move Crouse. Isn’t super necessary to add crouse but would be a nice addition. This deal could just be anderson and Ritchie for no return. I don’t think the leafs are paying a second to move Ritchie, a younger forward who could get a shot with Arizona makes sense for both sides.

Is Mayfield worth a first? I honestly haven’t seen him play much, but a big right side d that can play at least 20 minutes a night and has proven can do that in the playoffs is probably worth a first rounder. Especially with his cap hit and another year. This deal reminds me of the Coleman and goodrow deals for Tampa, you’re paying a premium for the contract as well as the player. Not sure if he can be had but I’d pay this price to get him.

I keep coming back to miller, another elite forward could really be the difference against Florida and/or Tampa. I’d play him with JT and nylander to start but he could also be used as 3rd line centre if the lineup needs to be deeper.

Dubas said he can’t keep trading away picks so it would be hard to stomach trading 2 firsts at this deadline but 3 of the players have another year and crouse is an RFA. Depending on how things go this playoffs any of these players or other players can be traded to get some picks back. But mainly the goal would be this team has 2 shots at it, after that could be major changes if it doesn’t work out.
I think it’s worth the risk. Thoughts?
Trades
1.
ARI
  1. Anderson, Joey
  2. Ritchie, Nick
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (TOR)
2.
NYI
  1. Dermott, Travis
  2. 2022 1st round pick (TOR)
3.
TOR
  1. Miller, J.T. ($500,000 retained)
  2. Schenn, Luke
Additional Details:
Like to get more retention on Miller but prob need another asset either to Vancouver or another team to retain. It would set the team better up for next year but 500000 is enough to make the cap work for this year.
VAN
  1. Amirov, Rodion
  2. Holl, Justin
  3. Kerfoot, Alexander
  4. 2023 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Pick is too 3 protected

you said it in your post, MIller is an elite forward. Dont think that gets it done. break the trade down and its

Schenn for Holl(holl needs to go to the AHL to figure his game out right now so i wouldnt do this with Schenn contract so valuable for the minutes he plays)

MIller for Kerfoot(middle six forward ceiling which hes already reached), Amirov(their 3-4th best prospect) and a 1st which is a year away so that player is 3-4 years away at best. plus having VAN retain will cost more.

nothing is more valued on this site more than 3rd liners and RHD 4/5 defenders that leafs fans have focus'd in on

yikes, if Holl needs to go to the AHL and 'figure it out' than Luke Schenn should be playing beer league in Timmins right now.

Not nearly enough for Vancouver to do that deal for Miller, let alone retaining salary and adding Schenn.

I think you are in the ballpark but, still lite on all three suggestions.

If the Arizona trade was a 1st rounder, you'd probably be pretty close.

I don't see the motivation for the Islanders to break up their top pair on D that is cost controlled for Travis Dermott and a late 1st rounder but, maybe I'm off base there.

The Vancouver trade is probably the closest to doable as it is but I still think the Canucks could do better elsewhere. Especially if they traded those guys in two separate deals.

All in all.... not horrible. Just probably not enough as they are in all three situations.

dude i watched the game last night, he stunk. If hes good then why is every TOR fan on this board trying to trade him. He might have some upside elsewhere but he def cant play the level their top 6 forwards do. As i said in the post Schenn contract rules for a 5-6 guy that he is.

Ya it’s probably a dream to think they could pull off all 3 of these deals. Probably have to add more to the crouse and mayfield deals and not so the Vancouver deal or just add more to the Vancouver deal to get it done.
Either way I think these guys are good targets for the team, and I think we have the assets to get some of these players, just might not love the price.

Incorrect, Leafs fans "value" their prospects like ALL of them are locks for the Hall of Fame.

i mean that’s pretty much how the trade deadline works, we saw it last year with palmieri/foligno/savard.

Man how much more could you ask for for Miller… Kerfoot is outproducing him this year at 5v5, and has a cheaper contract including the salary retained. Yes Miller is obviously the better player but you can’t just act like Kerfoot isn’t having a great year. Kerfoot on top of a 1st rounder in an insane upcoming draft, a top 15 draft pick from 2 years ago who projects as a higher end top 6er, and a solid bottom pair d man is more than enough. I wouldn’t even take it from a Leafs standpoint

Arizona declines, not that Leafs need Crouse anyway. The usual overpay love for Mayfield. Miller is a nice add, but it's at quite a price for Leafs. I wish more thought would be put into next years cap.

Why? Why is a glorified 4th liner worth a 1st? He's not good defensively, he's getting moderate points while being a top line player on the 2nd worst team in the league. He's a 4th liner in TO and unless you move out one of the other bottom 6er's I don't see where he even plays in TO.
