Description
We wasted Giroux, we all know it, He deserved to go win a cup, and rumors out there he would waive for COL and or MINN. I say he goes to the Avs and he will make them better than they already were. Giroux can play PK,PP, if he is your 3rd line center that is one extremely deep team. I feel that is fair for G
Risto goes to TOR for a second
Sanheim goes to LAK for a first and Maata who is a cap dump
Decide between keeping Provy or TK

Jones to EDM for a 3rd and we will take mk salary off their hands
Braun to ANA for a 3rd or a 4th
Linblom to NSH for a 2nd

Take Lucic from Calgary for a 2nd and a prospect- they could use a lot with that money
Load up on 2023 picks since its deepest draft since 2015

Ristolainen gives the Leafs no defensive advantage. There is no need for them to do that when there are better options.

NSH declines. That's too high an ask, and bottom six wingers aren't a need for them.

Not the worst trades value-wise, but I can still see most of the teams declining.

Okay besides thinking you did something with that trade to the Leafs, can we talk about how you think the answer for Edmonton's goaltending problems is Martin "0.896%" Jones?

is the Minny rumour stuff bc of Dater? If so then I wouldnt take anything of value in his list of destination teams. Dater is a giant hack who rumour mongers for clicks now since he lost access to the Avs. they took away his credentials

I can see Los Angeles trading you the 2023 first for Sanheim if there's some sort of lottery protection (like top 5), but we'd just as soon leave Maatta out of it because he's given us all we wanted him to, and he deserves not to have to relocate for the last couple of months of his contract.

From an oilers perspective that trade would have to see Philly put Jones threw waivers first. I don’t imagine that would be overly difficult. He would be the third string guy use in the case of an emergency which if moving kosk in the deal becomes very important role in the system. If kosk isn’t included then there is no sense in making the trade at all. Oilers goaltending situation is in a very tricky state right now.

He would be a good third string veteran to have in the system while running with smith and skinner. I like the idea just needs to clear waivers for it to work. Smith gets hurt again he gets called up to back up skinner so there is layers in front of him before having to rely on. Since it only makes sense if kosk is included there is a fairly sizeable cap savings that could be used to beef roster up in other areas.

Jones hasn't been terrible, flyers overall defense as a whole is just brutal, really brings down the goalies stats, but Jones this year has been better than advertised and I feel could help EDM.
