to elaborate just a little more. when i say they wont get more value than a first im not saying its lindholm for a first. its probably lindholm for a 1st, a conditional 3rd that jumps to a 1st if they win the cup or something, 3-6 round prospect, 5th round prospect. esq move. you arent getting a base package of a 1st and a 2nd or equivalent prospect value back at his current aav. maybe retained they bump up a little bit. but thats really on if the team wants/needs it or not.


I thunk he'll get 1st + 2nd round caliber prospect. Example: lindholm for 1st + alexeyev (Washington)

Stiil, I'm not convinced. He sounds to me like Ristolainen who doesn't even score points...well at least up until recently anyway. And to be fair, Risto has stopped doing that too hasn't he lol.

Nothing against Varlamov, but investing that much in terms of assets and cap space into such a fickle position is a big no-no for me.
