No way Isles make that trade. They don't need him this season as the Isles are out of the playoffs. And it's a big overpay for Bertuzzi for one year till his UFA.
Minni has no cap next year, they don't consider that trade.
Now, a team like the Kings who have cap and prospects....that's a better fit.

I'd do the Dobson trade in a heartbeat. But the Isles wouldn't. I'd have no problem trading Hronek to make room for him.

The isles wouldn't trade Dobson for Bertuzzi and Detroits 1st rd pick. He's untouchable.

Not sure where you heard the rumor because there's no shot of it happening.

Yikes. Swing and a miss with these ones. Neither Minnesota or the Islanders are going to move key pieces like these guys for Bertuzzi. Sorry.

Minnesota isn't a team in need of a Winger. They aren't going to be trading a top C prospect for Wingers they have no room, need

    No way Minnesota does that:
    1) Rossi is untouchable
    2) Bertuzzi is not what we need
    3) If we acquire Bertuzzi, we can't afford to keep Fiala
    4) That is an overpay

To call this a horrible overpay is rediculous. Especially at the deadline.

Appreciate all the feedback. I assumed Rossi would be completely untouchable and loved the idea of the Islanders trade, but was curious of the perspective from outside of the Detroit redwing bubble that I live in.

Lou would not acquire Bert because of his vaccination status, he sent Wilde tonSweden because of this, Dobson is younger, more valuable and a harder player to find, plus a potential top 10 pick would be a overpay.

Players like bertuzzi are much harder to find these days than players like Dobson. The value on this trade is fine. Your in real trouble if you pick top ten this year. Make it next year's 1st. This might be a trade that would be declined by Lou but it certainly doesn't make it a horrible overpay. Bertuzzi should bring at least a 1st and a great nhl player.

The value is not fine, you can believe it is but it isn’t. Everyone in the thread agrees the isles wouldn’t trade Dobson for bertuzzi straight up, let alone add a first.

A top 10 pick in this years draft and a 22 year old RHD who is on pace for 50+ points

    For

A 27 year old unvaccinated LW who is one year out from hitting free agency and about to have his first season cracking the 50 point mark?

Your answer is a four letter word followed by a two letter word, a click, and a dial tone.

Isles and Minny 100% reject, And unless Steve Yzerman moves Filip Hronek we don't need Noah Dobson.

Have you seen what dobson is doing this year in his age 21-22 season? A good nhl player and a 1st idrk what you mean by good njl playrr but dobson is a potential future norris winner, hes dominating at age 21.
