Francis is NOT on the hot seat after 1 year. Thats nuts.
Fletcher has cotourier and Hayes making more than 7m, why would he bring in another center? Forsberg would make sense there tho

He still was very active in the UFA market last year and I have no reason to believe otherwise this year either. Even if it's not to save his job I could see him targetting Kadri.

Hot Take: Forsberg signs with the Isles and then Isles trade for Chychrun or Sanheim and sending back one of Bailey/Varlamov to make the cap work

Gaudreau to NJ with 7y, $75M total deal
Forsberg to LA with 7y, $63M total deal
Klingberg to SEA with 7y, $55M total deal
Kadri to PHI with 6y, $42M total deal
Rust stays in PIT with 6y, $36M total deal
Letang to MTL with 4y, $33M total deal
Malkin stays in PIT with 3y, $20,25M total deal
Bergeron stays in BOS with 2y, $13,5M total deal

We going extensions to

Lets see

Forsberg 9mill x 8 years LA (LA gives Nashville 5th for rights)
Gaudreau 8.75mill x 8 years Calgary
Klingberg 8.5mill x 6 years Seattle
Kadri 8 mill x 5 years Nashville (If Forsberg leaves they need someone)
Rust 6.75mill x 6 years Pittsburgh
Malkin 6.5mill x 3 years Pittsburgh
Bergeron 7mill x 3 years Boston
Letang 7.5mill x 2 years Pittsburgh

Depending on where the Isles first lands my prediction is Lou will use it to trade for Provarov.

Giving Kadri 8 and Rust 6.75 seem like BIG mistakes by a GM, i doubt they do that

Rust I feel will need to be overpaid to stay as man he has played way above 3.5mill

I would do a Guentzel deal but knowing FA someone will offer him more

Kadri I just guessed. As next to Forsberg probs gonna be in high demand and someone gonna give him to much. I went less term more money so to speak. Who knows may just sign 6.5millx 7 years or something

Moneypuck.com has the LAK at 77.8% to make the playoffs. VGK are 2 points back with one game in hand. I know LAK have a very favorable schedule, but almost 80%?! Mark Stone is close to returning, too. I'm betting big against the Kings.

I think CGY will need to up that offer to keep Gaudreau. I'm thinking 8x$10M (still probably not enough). You know PHI is gonna make a major play for him.

Heavy bonus money could keep the cap hit down

Can Stone even return? Because Vegas would be over the cap

7

Letang: MTL
Kadri : Detroit
Forsberg: LA
Klingberg: Seattle
Rust: Toronto
Kuemper: Edmonton
Campbell: Chicago

Yours?

Diff teams:
Letang : 8m × 2 = 16m
Kadri 7.5m × 4 = 30m
Forsberg 9.25m × 8 = 74m
Klingberg 7.857 × 8 (Weber special) = 62.86m
Rust 5.5m × 5 = 27.5m

Same teams:

Gaudreau 9m (w/bonuses) × 8 = 72m
Bergeron 8.25 × 2 = 16.5m
Malkin 8.7m (jersey number) × 2 = 17.4m

They'd need to clear $4.5 million to activate him, but apparently he's a GTD for tonight

I have no doubt the Flyers will be a bottom 5 team again next season. They are probably going to trade their best defenseman (Sanheim) and their best winger (Konecny) just so they can overpay Kadri and give Risto an increased role

Provorov's better than Sanheim, no idea what you've been watching

It’s very easy to prove Sanheim is better than Provorov if you actually watch the games. Didn’t know this was such a hot take, provorov is a very mediocre defenseman

it might have something do with the fact that Provorov has terrible hockey IQ, loses a majority of his puck battles, Cant defend the blue line. He’s brutal on the powerplay. Can you tell me what provorov is good at?

Also remember Chiarot saying that Schiefele will be punished for something he did last time habs played wpg.
Unfortunately he's injured the game before Habs play him.
