Can Comeau play Center, if he can, place Loui Eriksson instead of Comeau, worst line in hockey right there

there are reports coming out that Koskinen is going to play in Switzerland next year and has already accepted a contract, don't get why he would do that he could easily get a job as a back up in the NHL

I’m sorry but “Loui Eriksson” and “worst” don’t belong in the same sentence

David Carle would be my vote for Dallas’s head coach.

He’s led the Denver to some success in the past few years (beat the overpowered Michigan team this year which led them to winning the frozen four), another successful coach of ours came from there (Montgomery). He’s young which is exactly what’s needed with this team.

It may be a wildcard choice, but at this point for Dallas, something new is needed. Not these old bonehead coaches.

Kakko doesn’t belong on a line of GOATs.

6x6?

Thank god. I was worried Lou was going to give him 8x8 because he played with Anders Lee at Notre dame

Rust signing is official

5.125m x 6 years

Now if they extend Letang to a nice deal and sign Trocheck to be the 2c I would say mission success

There are so many know it all nerds on that armchair GM that act personally offended if you dare to trade a player they like on a fake simulation on the internet.

I think this trade could make sense for both teams.

NJD trade #2 overall pick for Timo Meier. San Jose takes Cooley with the pick.

Is anyone else irked when people start talking about asset management when it comes to pending UFAs? [and I'm talking about when a team's season is over, not at the TDL]

I mean I see Pens fans on Twitter talking about bad asset management if Letang and/or Malkin leave. If a player has been in the league long enough to become a UFA then there shouldn't be any ill will towards player or team management if they choose to go elsewhere. There shouldn't be any expected value on a player to a team when their contract is up as a UFA.

Free agency is like any other contract people sign, you agree to pay an amount for a service or you don’t and both parties move on. It’s nothing for anyone to get worked up about but this is the internet and people are stupid

There shouldn't be any ill will towards the player because it's their choice. However, it's 100% on the GM *UNLESS* they are expected to go on a cup run. For example, Pittsburgh was never expected to go deep in the playoffs, so they should've traded the guys who they weren't bringing back. Tampa + Calgary + Florida shouldn't be ****ted on if they lose players to FA because they expected to go on a long run,

Bergevin losing Tatar + Danault was a terrible for asset management. Tampa losing Savard isn't.

From 32 Thoughts

Devils organization and General Manager Tom Fitzgerald are still open to trading their 2nd overall selection in this years 1st Round of the NHL Draft. Fitzgerald had stated on locker room clean-out day in early May before the Draft Lottery and taken place that he would be open to moving their 1st rounder this season and Friedman is able to confirm that the Devils are still open to moving it. Friedman also reports that management is in the process forming up a list of players that they would consider moving that draft pick for and this process will continue over the next couple of weeks.

Wow, that would be crazy. I honestly think the best move would be staying put and drafting Slavkovsky. Everything the devils need, he has

Smart, if the Devils don’t feel like going BPA at 2 ( Cooley, option for Nemec ), trade, get assets, whether it’s a trade back or to improve a position of need

I don't like the idea of trading back (unless its 2-3 spots back)

If Devils can get a young bonafide starter for 2nd pick, they should do it
