Oh I believed Oetter was good goalie before this - but changing a series this way is special and he should be oozing confidence if they make the next round

It’s always Carlson.

The caps could inherit the entire NHL and Carlson would still somehow **** it up.

I’d like to see how people like Japer’s rink justify this. -4 today with garbage defending on the 3rd and 4th goals.

Strip him of the A at the very least. Someone with this little care, coupled with garbage abilities, should not be anywhere near an A. Wilson, Orlov, Oshie, hell even Dowd or Hathaway deserve the A more.

It’s been a bit but I’m still furious. This was a winnable series that bad defense, looking directly at Carlson and Schultz, lost us.

And I hate to be the pessimist, but this was probably our last good shot to go far in the playoffs. Sammy can’t bail this team out forever.

End of season spiel and grades are going to be made soon in the Caps forum if anyone cares. I’ve just got to calm down a bit first.

Caps need to go younger. No joke. I know that core won a cup but its time to change things.

They should also explore bringing in a veteran goalie to mentor Samsonov

I would honestly suggest bringing back Holtby and trading Vanacek for a top 4 D or a young middle 6 forward

The move is one thing (most NHLers can do it-yeah)...
But to finish too. In the playoffs. Last man back on top of it all!
