I feel Caufield is sort of a sure thing at this point to be a 35+ goal scorer consistently. No one knows what Holz and Slafkovsky will be. Maybe good. Maybe not... When trading futures you gotta sometimes give more than you get.

We'll trade Zacha for the Canadiens first round pick.

laugh laugh Sorry but Caufield+Hoffman doesn't get Holtz+2nd overall pick. Heck Holtz might be better than Cole Caufield down the road.

What is the difference between Holtz and Caufield? Besides the fact that Caufield is gonna score 40 goals next season and Holtz won't... except maybe in the AHL?

Can you tell the future? How do you know Caufield will score 40 goals and Holtz can't? Or are you just being biased?

I'm posting on ACGM... OF COURSE I'M BIASED!

All jokes aside CC under MSL was on a tear. Pace was 82 GP, 54G, 106 PTS

Sooooo you're all saying the Devils don't want Caufield? He's a terrible player and the guy in the AHL Holtz will be better. Cool.

I thought Caufield was going to pot 50 this year. At least that’s what Hab fans told me last year.

We're setting out sights on 40 next year... unless we can make a deal with some Devils fans!

summer time boredom must be starting to sink in.
Gorton and Hughes would be run out of town if they ever traded Caufield this early in his career.
Under St.Louis, and prorated over the course of a full season, Caufield was on pace for 49 goals and 77 pts.
at 21 years old, you don't trade a player producing at that pace.

Summer time Boredom has definitely struck this lonely poster. No one is trading Caufield... but like... apparently we really should if we can get Holtz. This Holtz guy is gonna be something else.

if that's the case you will have to throw in a lot more than just Caufield.
Think, CGY 1st and maybe Norlinder as the Devils are thin on LD

Caufield had a 49 goal pace in 30 something games under St-Louis. When did Holtz had a 40+ goal pace in the NHL?
