Kulikov is a cap dump and those cost assets. Very easy no.

Kulikov should get at least a 5th round pick, if not a 4th. He's solid on the bottom pairing. Don't think the Sharks want him though.

New Jersey says no. I know there's been rumors about them moving that pick, but I think it would take something pretty significant to do that. While Fiala is very good, I don't think he's enough. You probably have to add our pick to Fiala to get them to consider.

There's no chance in hell Columbus does that. I don't see them giving up Johnson OR the pick for Dumba, let alone both. Columbus has a bunch of defenseman anyways and they're rebuilding so I don't think they'd have interest in Dumba, but the most you get for him is probably a late 1st. Based on Guerin's comments it sure sounds like he's going to keep Dumba.

The Wild should get way more value if they move Hartman. Fresh off a 34 goal season and he makes less than $2M AAV and he's signed for 2 more years? That's an incredibly valuable asset, one we should not trade given our cap constraints.

He's really not though, he was great all year on the bottom pairing and played well when we had to move him up in a pinch. I can definitely see why the Sharks wouldn't be interested, but calling him a cap dump is not accurate.

Anaheim has no choice, but feels a little guilty accepting that generous offer.

But with the wild cap situation he is a cap dump. It’s not necessarily because of his play. Sharks don’t have the cap space for him anyway.

Not really? We can afford to keep him, and I'd much prefer he is in our lineup over Goligoski, Merrill, and even Addison at this point.

And like I said: "I can definitely see why the Sharks wouldn't be interested" and "Don't think the Sharks want him though."

I am pretty sure Verbeek is instantly fired if he doesn’t instantly say yes to that deal

If Devils had a second 1st to trade, would make sense. But instead, we have #37 and pieces to add.

I think you forgot to include Kirill in your proposal to the jackets cause that’s the only player that gets you kent

I'd have interest in a Dumba trade. CBJ have plenty of LD, they need to shore up RD, and are looking for a long-term solution to play with Werenski. I think Dumba could work, assumming he comes with a decent extension.

Either way, agreed - Johnson is absolutely not available, and I'm not sure if #12 OA would be thrown in a Dumba trade.

I wonder if Addison would be a better fit for the Jackets. He wasn't given a fair shake with us, I could see him being used as a chip this offseason.

In this scenario he is clearly a cap dump. He is a decent bottom pair but we have no place for him.

The problem is that what we really need is more defensively oriented types. Right now we've basically only got Gavrikov and Peeke for sure (Blankenburg sure looked good in his debut, tho).
