Detroit is going to need that spot Muzzin would take for their cheaper veterans and young dman coming in

Dubas would be foolish to give Nylander for Miller, their production would probably be flipped and Dubas would look like a fool especially after adding a prospect and losing Miller.

Why trade Brodie unless for an upgrade? I doubt Colin Miller is bringing more than Brodie will to the table, he might bring a lot less. It's safer to just keep someone they know will stabilize their D-core

Engvall on line 4 isnt too effective and to pay him 2m to play there wouldn't be the best use of cap space

Sandin is going to want a raise and the Leafs probably will give one to him on a multi-year deal

Canucks say no easily. Leafs would love the cap space to fill the roster But let's stop these absolutely silly NTC Muzzin trades to a non playoff team.
And I doubt 5m Brodie waives his NTC to the Isles.

1)Can easily declines, Miller had a way better season
2)Brodie trade is awful
3) 0 chance any team gives a combined 8.5 million to their 6th, 7th and 8th defensemen

Islanders 100% take that, I think it's an underpay for Brodie.

And for what it's worth - you can probably sign Colin Miller for much, much less than that. Or you can just leave Justin Holl as RD3 and use that $4.4M elsewhere.

I can't wait for J.T Miller, Mrazek, and Kerfoot/Holl to get moved and Patrick Kane to sign an extension or get traded as well. Also for a move or statement that ends the Muzzin mock trades

Ok but why is Muzzin waiving his NTC for Detroit?

Alternatively: the Avs could not trade for Wayne Simmonds

Habs easily decline. Mrazek to move alone cost the 2nd and 3rd so a 50 percent allen for duszack (a 24 year old undersized ahl dman) is a garbage return.

Detroit doesn't want Muzzin, even for free. Aging, serious injury concerns and 2 years left at 5.6m. No thanks.
