He’s hitting a guy not expecting to get hit. That’s a dirty play no matter what. It doesn’t matter if it’s not the head, you can injure a guy just as severely if they’re not ready for a hit. You can’t even call it clean when it’s blatantly against the rules. Not sure if you took a hitting clinic if/when hitting was introduced while you were in minor hockey, but they don’t just teach how to hit properly, they teach how to TAKE a hit properly. Because bracing correctly is how you brush it off, and if you’re not braced you’re on your ass (evidently), and probably winded, possibly injured.
Yeah basically, this year the only times I was put on my @ss was by blindsides from big players who just suck at hockey so resort to WWE sh*t. Depending on the severity it CAN lead to being winded or injured, but mostly it’s neither, at least in my experience.
