Can’t get by tb, by going younger and lighter, got to fight some force with force. Youth is awesome here, but possibly might need some vets mixed in, possibly not a time to move trouba yet, and maybe lose out on copp.

The value is off for sure, remove the prospect so it’s either a 2nd or two 3rds. However Reaves isn’t a cap dump, he’s been very influential and I’d prefer to keep him. As for Geo, analytics will tell you he’s far better then his numbers show. Must remember NYR defensively just doesn’t exist so with a better defensive team like TOR he would actually be very good and would out perform Campbell.

I think Detroit would take Trouba with 2 mil retained. Your not getting anywhere close to that type of package for him though. You can have a B prospect (MsIsaac, Sebrango, Mazur), a late 2nd/3rd and a bottom six guy that isn't in the future plans like Erne, Smith, Sundqvist. I would imagine Detroit would be on his 15 team list as he is from Michigan. Teams wont be offering high end packages for an overpaid defenseman when they know you're in a cap crunch.

It would allow us to move Hronek to the left side or move on from him. Trouba is a drastic improvement IMO.

Is he? Trouba had 39 points in 81 games this season and Hronek had 38 points in 78 games. Trouba is also 4 years older, cost twice as much and is UFA in three years while Hronek is still RFA when his contract ends.

Giving up a top prospect and a B- prospect and a 1st for a player we don't really need isn't good management.

If I were you guys I'd get Trouba off your team. Gives your team a bad reputation. He's a trash player and last nights attempted elbow was just another example

Points arent everything, especially for defenceman. Trouba is responsible in the D zone, unlike Hronek and plays a physical game. Unlike Hronek.
