I'd also give honorable mentions to BUF and DAL. I like their selections too.

DAL took lots of D-men this time

Amadeus Lombardi and David Gucciardi get my underrated name awards from this draft.

Joel Ratkovic Berndtsson snubbed

This is a joke. Someone tell me this is a joke. Please.

EDIT: It's not a joke. It's legit. And it's for TWO YEARS. Throw in the Ristolainen deal, and Chuck Fletcher may be giving Chiarelli/McGuire/Button a run for their money.

My prediction is

Murray goes to Chicago as when you factor in Mrazek the chances for Bedard go through the roof as Chicago probs gonna be on its #4 or 5 before January

Talbot goes to Washington

And then Campbell and Kuemper either end up in Toronto or Edmonton (ring around the rosy at this point)

As for Buffalo they sign Holtby to a 1 year deal

Although it seems unlikely with the Leafs talking to him, I like Talbot in Washington. I also wouldn’t mind bringing in Reimer for cheap as a 1B and mentor for Samsonov.

Liam Arnsby’s a pretty good pick. He’s probably a steal by a couple rounds.

Good name, but having such glorious parts as "Amadeus" or "Gucci" as a part of your name is an instant W

Doubt Hawks can afford Murray after the Keith recapture penalty.

Ottawa retains 50% and throws in a 2nd or something

I believe the Hawks can afford that

It better not be more than a 3rd if they’re retaining 3 mill

After they move Kane and Toews (50% retained) they’ll have plenty of room for Murray and his full contract. I wouldn’t be surprised if Murphy is moved too.

We’re not cap strapped enough to need to retain 50% AND give up a good asset. We can just bury him in the minors.

I feel Kane will be a TDL move as then a 3 team trade can happen

Miguel Tourigny off the board! Big W for the Habs. Didn’t hear a cheer go up, so maybe they didn’t realize they drafted a Québécois lol

In the 7th round so factoring in the 7th round randomness either becomes incredible or a who cares pick

Florida with a banger of a 7th round. Liam Arnsby and Jack Devine are a couple savvy pickups that late. Shame the rest of the draft was pretty meh lol
