I would be a fan of signing zadorov but he'd have to take 2 mill

Honestly I want to see Salo get consistent playing time rather then sign another dman. All our money should be used on either Johnny G or saving it for future extensions

I agree, I’m just going based on what I think is realistic. I think they’re looking for another D, I think Salo will rotate and have to win the job.

I would put Romanov with Dobson and it’s possible that’s what they do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they go with Pelech-Dobson, Romanov-Pulock

Wasn’t Pelech-Dobson dreadful last year? I remember doing some digging on Dobson a while ago, and I’m pretty sure they both had significantly better numbers apart than together.

Idk, you then have Romy and Zadorov
The same exact type players
Imo, don't do that

Yeah they only played 120 5v5 minutes together, which isn’t a ton (like 6-8 games maybe). But together they had a 43% xGF%. Dobson w/o Pelech was 47.5%, and Pelech w/o Dobson was 52%. This helped lead to Dobson having a better xGF% with both Greene and Chara than without them individually lol, size and leadership wins again, clearly they were the reason Dobson was good

Not gonna lie I was thinking Pittsburgh was gonna move on from both old timers and go a new direction

With guys like Trocheck, Palat, etc.

But hey at least Crosby is fun to watch but man they feel like a retirement home

It’s a goodbye tour

19-20 season they had a 52.6 xGf% in 34.5 TOI
20-21 season they had a 60.7 xGF% in 53 min TOI
21-22 season they had a 45.3% xGF% in 121 TOI

I don’t think they’ve ever played a full game together, it’s usually late in games defending leads or something. I think they’d work well together if they played consistently

It could be worse. I would put Salo on the 3rd pair but I wouldn’t mind if they signed Zadorov. This could work :

Pelech-Pulock
Romanov-Dobson
Zadorov-Mayfield

I wanna make a new prediction cuz I don't like my earlier one.

This time tho I won't bother adding contracts. They can remain as they were.

My new projections

Johnny Gaudreau - Devils
Nazem Kadri - Kraken
Patrice Bergeron - Bruins
Evgeni Malkin - Predators
Andre Burakovsky - Flames
Evander Kane - Oilers
Andrew Copp - Avalanche
Ondrej Palat - Islanders
Claude Giroux - Hurricanes
Vincent Trocheck - Penguins
Ryan Strome - Sabres
David Perron - Blues
Nino Niederreiter - Stars
Mason Marchment - Lightning
Dylan Strome - Red Wings

John Klingberg - Senators
Josh Manson - Canucks
Ben Chiarot - Kings
Nikita Zadorov - Oilers
Nick Leddy - Flyers
Brett Kulak - Panthers
Colin Miller - Hurricanes
Calvin De Haan - Red Wings
Ian Cole - Sharks
Justin Schultz - Sabres

Darcy Kuemper - Capitals
Jack Campbell - Oilers
Ilya Samsonov - Sabres
Martin Jones - Leafs
Kevin Lankinen - Blues

Ill take all those except I don't want any FA forwards.

backstrom is coming back? i thought he was done.

It would probably be beneficial to everyone if he did, but surprisingly they believe he’ll be back mid season. Seems like a JovoCop situation.
