Anderson is long term negatives contract. Even at 5.5 for 35 point winger is an overpay.

Caps quickly pass. Jensen>Petry and Mantha>Dadonov. No way Caps would be throwing a 2nd in here, MTL would be throwing in a 1st.

They're in negotiations with Montreal right now to do just that. Apparently it was nearly done before the draft.

It's 100% true. Both Caps players are better than the MTL players. Why would Caps do this? And why would they throw in a 2nd? MTL is getting better, they need to throw in more, especially Caps are taking back a potentially bad contract in Petry.

Savard's service was appreciated here but we've moved on. At this point, y'all pay us to take on his contract.

Nothing in that offer gives Winnipeg any desire to move Dubois now.

No EFFING THANKS for PLD, Dont want him, dont need him. Why would Habs make a Move and give up Romanov to get Dach to be their #2 center only to turn around and go after PLD. First off, if you are getting PLD, you would need Romanov in that package I would think, but he is gone. Plus PLD is a whiney sook, sure he has talent but he has a selfish attitude, (See Drouin), both werent happy quit on their teams to get traded, THEN PLD tells Jets management he wont sign extension he wants to go to free agency, so that shows hes got no Loyalty he is all about self. So WHY does everyone in Montreal WANT THIS GUY, other than he is French, he is not a 100 point guy he is not ELITE, good yes no doubt but like i said Drouin has talent too. He has turned out well for us, LOL. Sorry but No Thanks on PLD, rather not give up future for a guy who plans to leave for free agency.

Don't need Jensen or Mantha, so No interest in trading for them, I am not sure what fans dont seem to grasp, we are in rebuild mode not go for it win now mode. Petry is better suited to move to a team for NHL ready prospects to help rebuild Laval and make them strong so we have young guys that are reliable and can step in when injuries occur.

As for David Savard, I am good with him being traded, Personally I think I would trade him to Philly he can be reunited with Torts when he played his best hockey, for like Cam York

Looks like you're gonna have to deal with PLD in Montreal as a reality soon. Dvorak++ seems to be the price they're going to pay and they may be trying to sign Dylan Strome too and PLD will sign long term and play the wing. Fun times in Montreal.

I'll give you that Petry can be better than Jensen when he's playing well, but Dadonov isn't anywhere close to the value of Mantha. And I'd say Dadanov is the most one-dimensional player in the trade lol

I do think it's crazy to say that Jensen is better than Petry but I gotta say Mantha is more valuable than Dadonov, if only for being 28 with term and a 45-50 point scorer vs. being 33 with one year left and a 45-50 point scorer

I won't even bother commenting on how ludacris Jensen > Petry is.

As for Mantha vs. Dadonov... let me know when AntMan puts up 65-70pts next please and thank you. Hell, just tell me when he plays more than 65-70 GAMES in an nhl season. The dude is huge and plays sooo small. One of the softest and most overrated POS in the entire league. But yes, you're right @dannibalcorpse, he's younger.

Dadonov is the weirdest player because he looked like a STUD in Florida for those 2 years and then regressed back to just a middle 6 guy. I think for 2022-23 they're probably equal value, but I think you can get more value out of Mantha than Dadonov just based on the term/youth.

Value wise, yes, because GMs always overpay for size and age. It's just the way she goes.

French big scorer who under performed in Washington. Russian winger with 1 year contract who can find chemistry on a Russian team. Petry the best player in the trade who can look like a monster behind Carlson, can b an X factor for cup contender if he plays the way he usually does. For jenson who has 1 year left at 2.5 who will give u solid middle d minutes. It’s a great trade. Washington turns mantha into a legit offensive dman with good term. Maybe 1 year too long but whatever
