It’s an easy yes but they seem to not want to move Girard

It’s not an easy yes. Miller is not worth that. He’s good offensively and a finisher but a train wreck defensively. Avs have Better offensive and finishers than him already.

He’s not worth the price in trade or an extension. Why can’t the Canucks move him. Bc od exactly that, his value is bloated for a good but flawed player

I doubt COL would do Girard for Miller straight up.

Put him on a line with nish and leckhy and you won't even notice any defensive flaws... compher is gone at the end of the year most likely anyway, Girard is losing his spot to Byram this year anyway, 5mill on your 5th best dman is risky.. and luckily that 1st will be a bottom 3 pick I would hope..

I feel like now that with burakovsky gone and the other guys paid, and Kadri gone, the avs will need more secondary scoring rather than girard

Like the player in a reduced 2nd line role don’t like the bloat costs like he’s a premier 1st line talent

I would worry about the rumours of him acting like a locker room alpha, he’s not going to be in any sort of leadership roll and has to take a back seat

I don’t see that sitting well for him and him trying to pull that alpha stuff on mackinnnon, that’s asking for trouble

He’s been fine. Podkolzin in an interview talked about how great of an influence Miller has been. There was also a game where the Canucks were down 2-0 and he told Boudreau not to go in the dressing room and he went in and talked to the team and that game went to overtime

The rumour was he alpha dogged the leadership from Horvat. Where there is smoke there is fire. He wants to be the top dog, well he’s going to be the 6th best player on the avs . He’s not top dogging anyone

When he’s eventually moved, that’s the 3rd time he’s been traded before he’s 30.

You have to start to wonder why do teams keep on moving on from him.

Tampa and Vancouver at the very least are moving him for money. He’s a different player then he was in Tampa anyways.

Also the same person that made the Horvat Miller rumours said Hughes was on an IV with Covid so he’s not trustworthy

If I am correct the guy that originally started the rumour is not trustworthy. I don’t think it was Hirsch

Not either or. Lose the first, it's worth way more than Walsh especially before we know if we're a playoff team

Agree. But of the four assets, Walsh and pick 6-32 are two most valuable (doesn't mean they are close in value). Had to get rid of at least one.

Matthew Sekeres of The Sekeres and Price Show had this to say about the messy situation:

“What I’ve heard is that there are a lot of frustrated guys in that room and that the young core may well be caught in a leadership vacuum where JT Miller now speaks with credibility because of his season performance…whereas Bo has been somewhat neutered by his lack of production and by aligning with the head coach and general manager that simply haven’t gotten their jobs done.”

Matt Sekeres holds 0 credibility, he just likes to stir up the Vancouver market, everything he says should not be taken seriously.

But it was Corey hirsch who first said post game that they have alpha dog issue in the locker room, so are we discrediting everything even hirsch? I don’t think he’s the kind of guy who says things to stir the pot

If Iain MacIntyre or Dan Murphy were reporting it, sure I would believe it then. Hirsch is not that close to the team.

Right that was more so referring to green's tenure, Seekeres who is notorious for making **** up then added to that rumour saying it was between Miller and Bo which has come out to be completely false

Because he's been Tyson barried, their biggest need other than a #1 goalie is a miller type centre

They lead differently. Bo is an a lead by example guy and JT will light a fire if needed. It worked fine. Miller golfs and travels with his whole team regularly. It's not like chemistry issues would lead to that.

Btw Petey deal is gross
