Cross Labanc off straight away. No way the Sharks will want to put Hoffman on their roster with Karlsson.

Drouin isn't worth any of those players. FLA couldn't do it cap wise. They'd want to lose Hornqvists 5.3 not add another .2.

Canucks aren’t taking Hoffman. No need for any more wingers, and Myers is useful while Poolman may have to LTIRetire

Well the logic is Van saves money on a Myers Hoffman swap which is the point and Poolman isn't injured is he? The logic on that one is he is signed for a year longer than Hoffman but cheaper. Pick your poison.

Any... except the Zaitsev one, and simply because the buyout is cheaper ($2,833,334 vs $3,666,668)

I don't want any buyouts. We don't need the small cap gain anyway. This year and next are rebuilding years and then those contracts are done. Zaitsev sucks also but at least he's a dman and can help not having to play a youngster in that role or at least be some depth in a area of need. Habs have ZERO need for Hoffman right now and are flush with wingers to the point that they need scratch one of Hoffman/Drouin anyway.

Those RHD are terrible contracts. Better to just play the rookies.

Myers is much more useful to the Canucks at 6M than Hoffman at 4.5M. And Poolman left the Philly game with an undisclosed injury that I believe I read somewhere was concussion related, and he’s dealt with those a lot the last year

If I'm Anaheim, I'd prefer to take Drouin over Hoffman.

At least I don't have to worry about Hoffman poisoning the locker room.

Those RHD are terrible contracts. Better to just play the rookies.

Depth at one position of strength for depth at a position of weakness. Im not saying don't play rookies. Im saying I'd rather the dcore have a vet backup than than the winger squad have one. We're flush with wingers, not so much with dmen.

You can have Johnsson for free

I don't want him for nothing, I want him if you take one guy back. Thats the only reason otherwise I don't want him.

I feel Myers is a little more valuable too but we've seen what cap space is worth right now. Either way I'd be ok with a pick going back to Van to make it work if need be. As for Poolman, I didn't know about that. Didn't know the concussion history was that bad.

Drouin for Silf is a non starter because of the extra year. I'd rather let Drouin walk this year than take on Silf for an extra year. I think the Hoffman locker room thing was a thing in Ottawa and Ottawa only. He's had no problems that I've heard of since then and since joining the Habs hasn't had a single negative thing said about him in that regard.

Any... except the Zaitsev one, and simply because the buyout is cheaper ($2,833,334 vs $3,666,668)

              Sens shouldn't do that

First I really doubt Ottawa would welcome Hoffman back (unless he has a new GF?)

Then, both players have the same cap hit, Hoffman is not needed. Although Hoffman buyout would be $1,166,667 next season, which is less than Zaitsev $2,833,334

But seriously, they don't need to do anything about Zaitsev now

He is owed less than 2.5 M$ this season so he's basically Del Zotto 2.0 this year. Wait for next offseason and either buy him out or trade him for a much more reasonable price after paying his 2.0 bonus
