Yeah, Motte's doing great for Ottawa. No reason to mess with that chemistry to bring in friggin Tanner Pearson.

"Full rebuild"

Proceeds to not trade even a single key player.

-2.4/10; would not view again.

Boeser, Pearson Garland is half of the top six. You can’t trade Miller, OEL, or Myers let’s be real here.

Why would Minnesota do this?

They're going to be tight on cap space next year with Boldy needing a raise so trading 2 good players for 1 more expensive than both of them put together doesn't make cap space management sense and it's not like they need a scoring winger. They've had no problem scoring goals so far, they just need to tighten up their defensive play and get some better play from their goalies (which Fleury at least seems to be finding his game). Trade makes no sense for the Wild.

They might two if both those guys are doing well, they won't trade them straight for Boeser.

Isles need to replace mayfield in the deal or this offer is less than worthless. I’m not saying it isn’t fair value, but the number of people on this site who think the isles just create a giant hole on their third pair d is insane and they just be out of their mind.

That would make it a retool. While a rebuild doesn't REQUIRE a full teardown, a rebuild would require a.) more comprehensive changes and/or b.) a focus on picks and prospects in the returns. Instead it's all NHL players which suggests the aim is to restructure the team in order to still be competitive and, thus, a retool.

I'm Minnesota absolutely would decline. They don't touch the deal. Greenway and their cheap top 3d isn't getting traded.. so Minnesota declines

They would need a righty who is actually capable of playing defense. Not Travis Dermott.

they have hutton for the short term and then they can just sign a guy in UFA for the year following. third-pair d-men are not the hardest things to find.

I get it, but at the same time I’d like someone like Bear back lol. IK it doesn’t work cap wise tho. I’m not sure how this works cap wise tbh.

Sens keep the cheaper guys who doesn't have a 3.25 AAV next season

Even if you pay with pick(s), they wouldn't do it as they will need the cap space for important signings
