So the Avs are giving away a 1st and a very recent 1st for a 7th defenseman and David Perron‘s age 35 season?

Pass.

Wouldn’t be suprised if Wings got even more in return for him. Playoff teams pays a lot for 30-40 point grinders these days.

Also just the principle of it, avs fans could never cheer for Perron. He’s up there as one of the most hated players in tbr fandom

Perron likely would get run out of the locker room, look at the bad blood between the Avs and Blues from last years playoffs, hard pass from both the Avs and Perron himself.

Minnesota is not in a position to buy, especially giving up the same value as the Fiala trade for two rentals.

Just like chelios was after he came to detroit from chicago after all the rivalry? Worked out pretty good for detroit, might for avs as well . I think he’d be a great fit in colorado

Id keep sundqvist as well . Id just move him and resign him in the off season. Buisness is buisness, think he’d know that and also realize he was a great fit in detroit and come back

Would you make a trade for crosby at age 35? Sure perron isnt 25 anymore but hes almost at a point a game and shows up in the playoffs when it counts. He’s a really good player and would be a great fit in colorado with all the pieces you have . Reason id trade him is cause we aint winning **** in 2 years and id personally want to add more assets and keep building. If he was 31 and had 5-6 more years id keep him on

Perron tried to take a headshot at Kadri, targetted him along with Buchnevich, and was a general prick in that 2nd round.

Yeah, I think the animosity towards Perron by Kadri, along with most of us Avs fans still liking Kadri as he left on good terms, means that this feeling will translate to the locker room. So no, we shouldn't get Perron. Not to mention he'd probably get booed on the ice whenever he touches the puck.

Cant remember a specific chelios vs wings incident but im sure hes done worse and took many more shots . Kadri isnt there now though haha. Think it would change once hed be on the team. But i understand the feeling you have
