Given the discourse we got from them about Anderson, I'm quite puzzled as to why Hughes didn't trade Anderson for 13th overall instead of Romanov.


He traded Romanov because Xhekaj is gonna be better.

I've seen NJ ACGM offering a 1st round pick for Caufield. There are bad offers from all teams.

Romanov played 141 more NHL games than Xhekaj. I think 2024-25 Xhekaj is gonna be better than Romanov.

Romanov is good defensively and hits hard, but can't score a goal and barely produce offense. And he doesn't fight.

Troll ACGM usually gets deleted fast. Those were real offers.

Many ACGM at the last draft offering the 2nd overall for Caufield... This is as bad as Anderson for the 2nd overall.

You really really DO NOT want to start an argument about eye test vs advanced stats. You want me to list all of the players who looked good by the eye test but ended up becoming nothing?

Xhekaj’s play style doesn’t really translate to more than that, he’ll be a fan favourite, he already is and his physicality does make his flashy but talent wise, he’s a 3rd pair guy
