IF LAK want to dump Petersen, it is going to be expensive. So either they eat the salary and cap hit or they give up considerable assets to move him. That offer is not even close even without Soderblom and the 3rd involved. Even if his bonus for next season is already paid, that still leaves $7M in salary left to be paid and $5M in cap space used up for two years. Even if CHI just turns around and buys out his contract that is still almost $5M in salary.

If Kings want short term solution, maybe the Leafs would "gift" 4.7m Murray to the Kings for one season. Leafs need the cap, could work for both teams.
