Description

With LAK having a great team but awful goaltending, proposed a trade for Danault earlier this year. LAK fans said he's a nonstarter. Maybe the trade gets Frankie to LAK but the Avs get their 2C and backup G elsewhere with picks. Will need a vet backup for playoffs and Reimer is proven. Justus should hopefully be ready to back up Georgie next year. Islanders need to shake it up -- G becomes 2nd LD behind Pelech and 1st LD w/Pelech out. Roster below would be in next couple of weeks when all the injured D-men return. Newy is starting to show out at C. And I want to see Foudy play up till Landy gets back!

What on earth is this? No team is paying a 1st for frankie let alone a 1st plus...

eh if the isles are moving nelson for a roster player it needs to be a forward

Probably isn’t getting moved imo, but moving him for a different forward doesn’t make much sense.

As much as the Avs value fankie and the fans love him, if someone offers a first for him you do it, hell if someone offers you a second I bet Mcfarland is considering it

This is all over the place but at least it's something new-ish. As much as I love Frankie he isn't fetching that kind of return, and I don't see SJ doing the trade either. Trading Girard right now would also be a bad move imo, and Nelson doesn't do it for me.

The only way the Kings would do this with anything close to that kind of return is if Colorado is taking back Petersen's full contract. Even then, I doubt they give up a 1st.

Why does LA pay that for Francouz when they can pay just a 2nd and get Reimer who at least is a starter? Yeah it means trading with the Sharks, but to save a 1st they would do it.

Moving him for another player doesn’t make much sense. If Nelson is getting traded it means this team is getting blown up which means isles would have no use for girard and would want futures

Love Frankie but he isn’t returning a 1st. Moving Girard just means you’re one injury away from having both Hunt and MacDermid in your line up, and that’s not ideal. Doubt any of the teams not named COL is interested in doing this.

really i don't think moving him makes sense unless it's for futures. but if they were looking for a roster player, they don't need an LD, they need more forwards

I would actually like to add a good young d man on the right and the left side. That being Bolduc may step in and solidify the left side. We don’t know yet.
