I think Edmonton accepts if it's nearing the deadline and they aren't going to utilize their cap space. They essentially get a smaller PoolParty that they can part ways with easier and they get a third-round pick for their trouble.

Oilers and Kings trades are fair.

I think Drouin makes some sense for the Jets, wouldn't give much for him though.

Not sure about the Kings one. Maybe if Monahan is healthy but Lemieux could be a useful playoff player. Monahan will likely just get hurt again.

I like your first 2 trades
NJD deal feels like its just a trade for Lemieux as thats his value and you attached Drouin to it.

Also Condotta and Richard are clutch
Richard is 3rd in AHL Goal Scoring after losing 1st in the AHL when called up and is 3 goals off the lead
Condotta is Matt Martins cousin and a Energy guy who use's his smarts to draw a ton of penalties while being a very productive memeber of one of the deepest goal scoring teams in the AHL which was huge for MTL last year on their ECF run with half a ECHL team and additions from other leagues like Condotta out of the NCAA. He's a smart and sturdy Goal Scorer who works along the boards growing to be one of the more dependable Laval Rocket Players beside former QMJHL Jean Beliveau trophy winner Abbadanato they changed things for Laval after the loss of a lot of their players to permanent call ups in MTL or were traded. At worst he's a quality replacement as Captain in Laval for Belzile.

Ylonen , Belzile , Mitchell even Schnarr could all go and despite their contributions Teasdale , Condotta , Abbadanato , and Mysak would rise to the occasion .
But Richard/Abbadanato are the Caufield/Suzuki of Laval with ridiculous Chemistry that made Richard an AHL All Star which the AHL said :

"The 2023 AHL All-Star Classic will feature the top young talent in the American Hockey League: since 1995, more than 94 percent of All-Star Classic participants have gone on to compete in the National Hockey League, including Cam Atkinson, Drake Batherson, Patrice Bergeron, Jordan Binnington, Jack Campbell, John Carlson, Logan Couture, Thatcher Demko, Denis Gurianov, Connor Hellebuyck, Tristan Jarry, Kaapo Kahkonen, Jordan Kyrou, Jonathan Marchessault, Jacob Markstrom, Brandon Montour, William Nylander, Kyle Palmieri, Mikko Rantanen, Dylan Strome, Linus Ullmark, Vitek Vanecek and Mats Zuccarello."

He hasnt been yet
I love his style but come playoffs he's either scratched or average's 8-9 minutes for only 2 hits a game
He's like Pezzetta a good fighter for the middle weight and sparkplug/enegry guy but you dont play him during important games if you have a choice as he's likely to take a selfish penalty because he was baited and his anger got the best of him. You got Akil Thomas in your system and he plays Lemieux's game but more strategic and smart

That offer is an AAV of 14.7M for compensation purposes.
You have to have 4 of your own next 5 1st rounders available to make the offer.
Even two 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd is more than Montreal should be trading for Dubois at this point in time.
You don't want to start another offer sheet scuffle.

The jets I'd think would want someone with some term. The more I think about it, the more it would seem like Hoffman could be a fit as the Jets have a hard time attracting free agents unlike a lot of markets that could easily acquire a Hoffman.

That offer sheet would be a massive favour to the Jets as PLD doesnt seem likely to sign but the Jets would just match the offer sheet and actually have their PLD problem solved. Very doubtful he signs that deal after the Horvat extension.

Why would the Jets give up a player to acquire a cap dump? You'll need to attach a first to Hoffman and take futures back if you want to dump him.

If there was an indication that Monahan would be healthy for a playoff run then I would go after him first. Adding some offense to that third line is needed. Maybe a change in scenery is what Drouin needs so if he comes cheap and MTL wants too much for Monahan then maybe?

That right side of WPG's defense needs an upgrade. Demelo just isn't top line material.

Edmonton doesn’t need Dadonov, they still need to fix their always suspect defence

Hoffman just makes no sense for the jets to go after as they seem for interested in JVR and Toews

LA has enough centres, they don’t need more, especially one on LTIR

I don’t see where Drouin fits on the devils and the devils are going for Meier who’s infinitely better then Drouin

Yeah I'd go for Monahan if healthy and cheap enough, honestly if cheap enough I'd grab Drouin too, the Jets bottom six is useless and frankly both Wheeler and Perfetti look out of place alot of games, having a couple more middle six pieces to play with might help in finding some secondary scoring.

I agree but there's just no RHD available that can handle top pair work unless NJ decides to move Severson by the TDL but that seems unlikely, will have to settle for a lefty who can play on his offhand. I'd sink assets into acquiring Chycrun if I was Chevy.

I'm not sure, think I'd just go with the UFA in Drouin and try to sign him if he works out though I can see the benefit of adding a shooter like Hoffman.

Personally, I'd just love to watch the chaos with Hoffman entering that locker room knowing how dysfunctional it has been with the captaincy change and rumours about certain guys. Albeit, the Hoffmans are expecting a child and I havent heard too much drama from them in awhile. The guy can still shoot the puck and you have the best goalie in the world to cover up for his many defensive lapses.

I wasn't thinking both Drouin and Monahan but yeah if the asking price isn't too high then it would hopefully solve the forward issue.

If WPG is to sink some serious assets then it would be for Chychrun. Chevy has to show that this team is a true contender to Scheifele and Hellebuyck to get them resigned. I think Dubois will get traded in the offseason so this is the year. I am hoping most Jets fans would be happy if Chevy pulls the trigger on some big trades.
