I swear every time Dallas does a trade it's either confusing or complete mid

At least they did something, that's a plus.

I'll take it. I actually like the trade for the Stars. Clearly Gurianov wasn't coming back next season anyways, so why not bring in a guy who has multiple 20 goal seasons under his belt at 50% retained? Hoping he can mesh quickly with Marchment and Seguin.

Trade are gearing up early this morning, the Dadonov-Gurianov trade makes sense for both teams, Dallas gets a veteran and moves out someone who needed the change of scenery while Montreal moved someone who wasn't staying and got someone who's a usable player and who they could turn into a middle 6 guy

Doug armstrong is a terrible evaluator of defenseman but he really has a good pulse and read on his team - He’s put his team in a much better position for the future by trading most of his pending UFA for high end assets instead of overpaying them.

In a league where a ton of GMs are driven by ego , it’s nice to see there are still GMs that make rational decisions

Guessing STL is done now. Usually don’t see defensemen with tons of term traded at this time of the year.

Maybe Greiss is flipped for a 5-7th rounder, maybe Pitlick for future considerations, don’t see much value in moving Bortuzzo since he has a year left.

With a little bit of cap space and Khudobin's contract...I could see Dallas making another move too.

Do Chychrun and Gavrikov actually get traded?

I think the canes do something. Tom Dundon (owner) said they would be aggressive - would sort of make him look bad if they didn’t do something after he said that.

And the west is so wide open I think maybe a little more overall from them. Maybe since the wildcard is so tight in the East there will be last minute sellers?

Dorian of OTT also said this week would determine his actions, and they won last night. I also think Buffalo will do something, but nothing huge. They have a nice 2 year window to give the youngins some playoff experience if they can snatch the wildcard.
