Potential 3rd liners cost

Created by: Dekes
Team: 2022-23 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 28, 2023
Published: Feb. 28, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
With bruins not really getting an easy go with injuries this year id like to add 1 more middle 6 forward before we enter PO’s.

What would be the cost for each of these players.

Bruins 1st definitely off limit, same with lohrei/ lysell

  1. Frost, Morgan
  2. MacEwen, Zack
Additional Details:
Could just build the toughest team in the league and best every body up like we did in 2011.

Frost could be another untapped potential breakout guy for Monty, has the skill just needs the team and proper coaching
PHI
5.
BOS
  1. Brassard, Derick
Additional Details:
Solid defensively/ decent goal scorer
OTT
6.

8.
BOS
  1. Comtois, Maxime
Additional Details:
For some reason I feel this could end up happening if they look for depth.

Young tenacious forward who looked to be a decent goal scorer one day.

I like his physicality and size which is needed in PO’s and especially since Tampa and Toronto have added some physical guys it doesn’t hurt if we keep trying to acquire tougher guys like we did in the orlov/ Hathaway additions.

But it depends on anaheims asking price. Been on the downfall the last 2 seasons, wouldn’t pay more then a 3rd and lower tier prospect

Bonino is probably worth a mid-round pick, I'd be fine with a 4th

I know you said the 1st is off limits, but Barabanov probably has the value around a late 1st, so whatever prospects you have that would equal that

Kubalik minimally would cost you a 2nd and C level prospect, And since you don't have any 2nds to offer. I doubt you'd get him.

So what is the deal with him only watch wings games when they face bruins. So ya he didn’t overly amaze me but bruins this year it’s hard to put on a show against them.

I liked him when he was on Chicago.

He is putting up points again like when he was a rookie but what’s going on are they just empty numbers basically?

Not one of those guys cracks the lineup barring injury.

Comtois, Fischer, Kurashev would be the only ones of interest. Though i’m not sure a team like Boston wants to take a chance on a reclamation project like Comtois.

Zboril and late pick for any of those 3 i’d be ok with.

I feel quite a few of them would mesh well with our 3rd line, again I also mentioned I want depth because we have an injury prone team. I think frost would be a solid add. Starting to find his game a little and would have better linemates in Boston to potentially have a full on breakout.

Monty is good with the young guys

the only one on that list that even remotely interests me is comtois and that would be for future years , nobody else cracks the line up

Philly isn’t trading him, even if Torts does hate him.

Plus he’s got another year under contract. I’d say a second with a little retained. Maybe a 3rd and prospect

i'm not sure i'd call this team injury prone , outside of the injuries to start the year we've only really had debrusk and nosek which weren't overly long, now hall, but that seems minor 2-4 games

Kubalik has a very good shot. But he's streaky.

No, his numbers have been earned. He started the season on a heater which has inflated those numbers, but he fits the mold of depth scoring and power play specialist. Prob good for around 20/25 goals a year and 50pts

He had a hot start but it's tailed off. He's ok but he's streaky as hell. He'd be good on the 2nd pp though. We haven't done him any favors though in the line up because lalonde shuffles lines about every game.

He had a very strong hot streak earlier on in the year (like a goal/game type of pace) but has fallen off quite quickly.

Mcavoy/ Grzelcyk/ Carlo all tend to miss time during the season. Especially PO’s Carlo and grzelcyk always get hurt.

Marchand/ bergy/ fliggy all have injury history and usually never play a full season

We have about 5-7 guys that consistently seem to miss time. We have the defensive side covered with the Orlov addition. While also have Clifton or Forbort as 7th D and /Zboril/Reilly/ Stralman/Ahcan as extra depth.

There is a few forwards I’d like a showcase like lysell/Merkulov and see if maybe they could be our more consistent 3rd line scoring winger but I’m unsure that happens. For depth I feel lauko/ McLaughlin/ Wagner/ Greer fit better for a hustling 4th line role, would like another guy who can pot high 10s to low 20s or someone who can bring solid playmaking to increase hall and coyle goal scoring

Ya I feel he would be dangerous on our 3rd line, Hall is a solid play driver/ play maker he tends to carry the puck majority of the time on that line and coyle is a good net front presence aswell as dirty area possession guy. So as long as Kubaliks offensive IQ is somewhat decent, scoring goals for that line should be quite easy for him he just needs to get into the spots and they will get him the puck

Kubalik would be dynamite with Krejci because he could get him the puck and create openings for him.
