Yes, Jarmo is certainly going to be in a mood to be doing the Bruins favors next year.

Horrible for Calgary. They are already above the cap for next season with Lindholm's super cheap deal. How are they supposed to afford the more expensive Hall and pay Swayman's raise? Not to mention trading Lindholm completely negates the entire purpose of bringing in Kadri to begin with. To push Backlund down to the 3C role to run a more complete top 9

Hawks happily accept and then flip him for the 2nd+ he’s worth.

Everyone else declines. Including the players with NTC’s.

Im not perfect. Just playing around. Made 2 rosters. This aggressive retool and different conservative one. But I wouldn't focus to much on returns because they are hard to predict and Im just trying to keep the trades relatively simple

Ok, but would you still be interested (or think its possible?) in a deal centered around swayman for lindholm? seems like goalie was a big concern for you this year? what about swapping hall for coyle?

Not remotely. Calgary has the best goalie prospect in the league playing for the Wranglers right now and Markstrom will almost certainly bounce back

I don't see this as a favor. You're essentially getting a 4th to take on Reilly for 1 year at 3 million.

I suggest you look up Dustin Wolf, he's probably going to win AHL goalie of the year for the 2nd year in a row in his 2nd year in the AHL

No one has a full no trade clause. Coyle has a 8 team no trade, hall has 10 team no trade.

If you think its an underwhelming return, then they could include Reilly. But I didn't really focus on exact returns too much.

Which is wildly undervalued considering the amount of cap and uselessness of the player and is also absolutely a favor to the Bruins. This is the kind of price you pay to dump an expiring contract at the TDL and not at the start of the year when teams are still hopeful for their season.

No, you’re not.

Grzelcyk for a 5th is an absolute abomination. Did you leave out a first by accident?

Considering the recent Kulikov for Mcginn/3rd swap I'd think taking Reilly along with a 3rd would be reasonable.

Again, different prices under different circumstances. Traded at the TDL in 2023/24 this contract would be going to a team that is experiencing a failed season and Reilly would be owed little actual money on the contract so the price would be low. At the start of the year the Jackets have talked about how they're expecting to compete for the playoffs and the full $4M in actual dollars is owed to Reilly still. A 4th or 3rd is not nearly enough compensation in that scenario for the Jackets to consider it. Maybe the Blackhawks or Coyotes consider it at a cheaper price, dunno what their expectations are for next year.

Elias Lindholm will get a better off than this.

If Tyler bertuzzi was willing to sign for 5 x $5,500,000 he'd remain in Detroit he wants 7 x $7,000,000 on his next deal.

Detroit pass, Don't want or need Charlie Coyle. We've Marco Kasper coming up.

Maybe then, still I don't know if you'll get 2 picks for him. He's not a cheap contract for a 3rd line center.

There's no way you get a 1st for grzelcyk, imo. I'd take whatever I could get for him if it means clearing cap and upgrading the position

Yeah but any more than that and I think Coyle becomes a luxury Detroit can't afford.

He's a matchup nightmare being on a 3rd line in Boston but he's ineffective when he's had to elevate in the line up. If you don't mind a 5 million dollar 3rd line center you really can't do any better.

There's also the fact that you're trying to send Mike freakin' Reilly to Columbus. There's a little bit of history there, to put it mildly.

Just think of the headlines: "Columbus remains diligent in pursuit of their man; pays off 7 years removed "
Jk, I actually had no idea about this lol
