Bedard pulls a Lindros and asks to come home

Created by: Julius_Freezer
Team: 2023-24 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: May 10, 2023
Published: May 10, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
There are so many reasons for him not to sign in Chicago, they tanked and that goes against his ultra-competitive nature, they covered up the fact that a staff member SA'd a player and he also happens to have grown up in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the World (North Vancouver) and moving to the trigger-happy, crime-ridden slums of Chicago may not appeal to him. Let's also not forget that he's a die hard Canucks fan and has discretely hinted at the fact he wants to be a Canuck. Also as a Canucks fan he probably hates the Blackhawks so if there was ever a year to see a repeat of Lindros, this would be it!

This is much more than what Philly got for Lindros, the only time in NHL history where more than 4 1sts have been involved in a deal is when Gretzky was traded. If CHI wants they can have Kuzmenko or Boeser in place of one of the 2024 1sts.
People are gonna go nuts saying that this is a bunch of $*** but high end pieces don't get dealt for draft picks, so people who are gonna say that Petey or Hughes need to be involved here shut up.

If you think Chicago is bad then please tell me your thoughts on the city of Detroit? (Detroit is ranked more dangerous than Chicago, and Detroit had a higher chance of getting Bedard than Vancouver did.)

I don't think Bedard says no to Chi.

    Too much for Miller.

I think you have a very awful picture of the city of CHI. How about you actually try visiting Chicago before making those kinds of comments...

I love the bad rep the city of Chicago has. It keeps idiots like this guy away from one of the nicest cities in the world

It's ironic to have someone from VAN rip on CHI and call it "trigger-happy, crime-ridden slums". Like, buddy, have you been through the Fraser Valley? Do you not read the news and learn about 'tent city'? VAN and BC is trash tears of joy . I live there and had my windows smashed three times in April alone.

However, he'd make WAY more money than I do so he'd just live in a nice place. But still, VAN is a **** hole.

Chicago has more shootings in an average weekend than Vancouver does all year.

We’d then sign him to the maximum contract you can give

And that means CHI is all slums and everyone is running around shooting each other? I could talk all day about the systemic and socioeconomic issues CHI faces, but I don't think you actually care about where and why these shootings happen, or even consider how MASSIVE Chicago is. It's just another half cocked piece of dog crap in your arsenal that you can throw in the faces of CHI fans because you think there is some rivalry that isn't even real and you're butt hurt about not bringing the hometown hero home. Same guy who gets hyper focused on singular issues without considering all the variables and posts on a daily basis about getting VAN's 2024 2nd back and offer sheeting Byram. It's no surprise you make generalizations like that.

At least we don't practically BURN OUR CITY DOWN when we lose a playoff series.

And Vancouver real estate is as affordable as the Tesla company itself

That doesn't matter to an NHL player
