Kings would be better off keeping the assets and signing Matthews when he's a UFA next summer. Jackets aren't trading Kent Johnson. Actually none of these trades are realistic. Like why would the Rangers trade Kakko and Schneider for rental Nylander?

Why would Tavares waive his NTC when he's playing in his hometown? I can't see the Avs wanting to blow their entire Landy LTIR on Tavares. They'll want to bolster their forward depth with 2-3 new players.

Marner isn’t waiving his NMC for Columbus, and even if he did he isn’t resigning in Columbus, that’s a lot for Columbus to give up for 2 seasons of Marner and a lot of cap when they have plenty of other major holes in the line up to fill.

That Marner trade is ridiculously terrible.

CBJ wouldn't trade the 3OA pick alone for him, let alone KJ, Mateychuk and another 1st. Maybe if he was a center with 5 years of term, and weighed more than 170 lbs soaking wet.

NYR can certainly do this if Nylander is coming with an extension around 4M/…..😂 the cap still exists last I checked
