Can guarantee you not much from Detroit. Addison is great, but not fantastic. Foligno is a depth player at this point.

I wouldn't say stupid I think unrealistic works and it's less offensive.

3rd for Foligno. Not sure about Addison. 2 or 3 depending on your point of view. I'd say a 3 but I'm not high on him.

What’s your over/under on how many AGMs you’ll make shipping Zucc out this summer?

Rangers say no thanks. Spuregon is a fine defenseman but the Rangers need more "Trouba" style players, not less.

Take your pick of McIsaac, Sebrango, Viro (LHD) with VAN 2nd (43) and you can have your 4th back from the Sunny trade.

I’d like Foligno and Addison here a lot.

Would offer a 3rd and the rights to Robert Mastrosimone - he’s not signing here, but I have a feeling he’d be a nice fit in Minny.

Trouba is an easy pick over Spurgeon for me. Bigger, physical game, younger, less injury prone, and 1 year less term.

I have both Foligno and Addison as a Playoff 2nd or non-Playoff 3rd (roughly 55-70oa picks) as far as current value. I do like Addison to DET as a fit. Foligno I have as ending up back to BUF as part of a Mitts or Krebs (I think BUF moves one of them this offseason) trade.

I don't see Zucc going anywhere, but for the sake conversation Zucc @ $4m x 1 is worth a Playoff 1st.

MN is stuck with MAF (and Goli).

I don't see Dumba re-signing in MN. If he did it would have to be a full NTC on his contract. He has to be sick of being of the trade rumors.

I have Steel on a $900k x2 re-sign. Nothing special, just a depth signing that can play anywhere in the lineup in a pinch.

I have Rossi as low key (not actively shopping him, but willing to listen) available for trade too.

Addison is a Hronek copy. Yzerman just got rid of Hronek and I don't think he's going to replace him with the same type of player. Foligno is a rental and a bottom six player in Detroit who aren't short of bottom six players.

If you want to give them to us for free, then fine, we'll accept but otherwise no thanks.

Some problems with your logic. Addison is "Hronek Lite" and as such should be treated in such regard. Hronek is wanting 6-7+M on a long term contract, which doesn't make sense with Detroit having Seider. Addison being the cola to coke version will require 3-4M less in the same position, and such giving similar output at a discounted rate.

In regards to Foligno, he is a leader, he is big, he has experience. Living in Minnesota I see how people clamor for him, such as those in DET for Big Ras. He would be a huge asset in Detroit for the young players coming up, while also not being a detriment on the ice.

A LHD prospect (ED/Wallinder/AJ/Buium excluded) plus one of the 3 second round picks Detroit owns would be a perfectly acceptable price.

Hronek was traded because Yzerman didn't think he was the right type of player for the team. There was no need to trade him for any contractual reason whatsoever, he had a year left on his contract AND he was a RFA efter it expires.

Steve isn't going to replace one defender who can't defend with another defender that also can't defend.

Foligno is a rental, he has one year left on his contract and he will not be here when the team needs players like him. He also cannot produce any more than Adam Erne does.

Hronek wasn't a Yzerman guy. He inherited Fil when he took the job. Hronek at one point led the Wings in scoring as a D. Wait until you see Hronek's raise, then ask yourself if the Wings would be okay signing him to that amount of money, If it is less, come back to this post and I will eat some crow.

Detroit has two RHD in the organization, Seider and Tuomisto. Detroit also still struggles on the power play. Addison fixes both issues, and Maata proved he can improve an offensive defenseman with defensive woes.

Foligno is a rental yes. What he can do is be valuable in the locker room (Chiarot / Perron) while also answering the bell. Remember when Hronek was decapitated in Minnesota? Who would go after RR? Chiarot tried but did nothing. Foligno wouldn't let that stand.
