I don't think Montreal would be in the market for a winger, notthat the price isn't fair, we just have a lot right now already and need to make room for our own prospects to get a shot too.

You create an acgm post and then essentially you don't accept criticism? Good luck with that one.

Sabres would be stupid to make that trade

Article out today or yesterday that i just read, dont have link, that Boston is shopping him. They desperately want Bertuzzi and Orlov back and need space.

P.S. believe it was Elliott Friedman, 32 thoughts

Disagree. I have exact opposite reaction and most Oilers fans would likely think Buffalo robbed us !
P.S. theres a difference between criticism and being completely ignorant

Boston isn’t moving Lindholm. Any “rumors” coming out of Boston from either Jimmy Murphy or 98.5, don’t believe it. It’s clickbait trash.

Look at Boston’s LD and tell me moving Lindholm is a good idea.

Reilly, Forbort, and possibly Grizz will get moved. Lindholm won’t.

As much as I like Bouchard, that is way too much going back to Edmonton. You’re asking for 2 essentially Untouchables for a very talented, power-play defenseman. The trouble is Buffalo doesn’t need another power-play shooter, they have Power and Dahlin already. There’s a higher likelihood of them trading Matt Savoie to get Bouchard before they give up Peterka or Kulich.

It came from James Stewart on 98.5 out of Boston and it was pure speculation, based off Lindholm’s poor playoff performance before it was learned he had a broken foot. Fans loved Orlov and Bertuzzi adds and are up in arms to keep them. He was just playing into that.

No thank you from buffalo.

I could see a peterka for Bouchard swap based on team needs, but buffalo doesn't need a power play qb and Bouchard needs a new deal and we are about to pay dahlin and power.

Adding kulich is insulting everyone's intelligence, which isn't nice

Criticism is fine. The problem is, is that 95% of people on here are neckbeards who feel physically attacked when they don't agree with a trade.

Sabres laugh at that offer. And if you do this for yourself you don’t have to submit the team. You can still do without submitting.

As soon as you mention Jiri you are gonna get sharp nos from the Sabres. We need a RHD but we can easily find what we need at a cheaper price or UFA.

We have dahlin and power for the pp, and we have had success running 4 forwards 1 d on the pp. Much rather go after a defensive physical right d (and maybe a lefty too) to help in our own zone. No point paying a premium for Bouchard.

There's also a difference between one-sided subjectivity and open-minded objectivity - most sports fans default to the former out of loyalty and wishful thinking about what's best for the team they root for rather than the latter which accepts that both teams make trades to improve their team.

As an Oilers' fan, you're apparently fond of Bouchard but accepting that the Oilers won't be able to afford extension for him so you want the best deal for his rights as possible - which is understandable. What you're not accepting is that Sabres fans reject the deal not only because 2 great young players that they're building around + 2 high draft picks are being given up for 1 player that just came into his own during the past season and playoffs but equally because Buffalo would face the same dilemma in having to extend Bouchard to term and dollars. That situation won't work well with their plan to also commit long terms and high cap hits to Dahlin and Power, both of whom are better than Bouchard.

Exactly - which is why the website allows for the option to keep it as a draft. Anyone who publishes it, no matter what disclaimers they throw into the title or descriptions, is indirectly signaling to other readers that they want feedback / reaction to their proposal.
