Friedman said on 32TP that LA has expressed major interest in Dubois. If they haven’t given WPG an offer they’ve at least made it very clear to the jets they are interested and want to make a deal work.

Friedmand expressed a mere opinion again is no proof.

Ask yourself, do you think Buffalo would have traded pick #2 in 2015 for Tony DeAngelo + Brock McGinn + 5th OA + a 2025 protected 1st

He's right Friedman words it specifically for a reason.
Its merely his Gut Feeling which in his defense is right a lot of the time.(But has been wrong)

Friedman states when he's go sources whether Official or Unoffical he defines the differences as he did here to counterpont Marek stating his sources say MIN and NYR are in .

“I have thought for a lot that Dubois was going to end up in Montreal and I don’t think I’m alone here but I know I’ve been very bold about it. My feeling on this and this is the thing I’m always careful with because as Isaiah Thomas once told when I was starting out in the business, around the Draft everybody lies, everybody has an agenda and I’m always careful about this but I think the Kings have made this interesting. One of the more recent podcasts I said ‘I think they’re in this’. I think they’ve leaned in very hard and I think that they’ve made it very clear to Winnipeg, if they haven’t made an offer, they have basically let Winnipeg know we’re in and we’re willing to make this work. We’ll see.”

Friedman is an insider with sources within NHL organizations. The guy knows what’s going on, he’s been the guy to report many “rumours” that just so happen to be accurate.

Plus Pat Brisson is very close with LA management, so I have no issue saying they’re interested. Neither do countless insiders with direct ties to NHL organizations.

Friedman doesn’t quote sources unless something is official. He always reports things as his opinion or feeling until situations develop and more details become public. Of course it’s not going to be official that LA tabled an offer for Dubois, or that LA is calling WPG about him.

No No No , dont blur the lines
Friedman Specifies when its source backed
This he specified as his gut feeling not source backed
Read all his quotes, listen to the podcast.
Nowhere will you find him claiming it is source verified

Hahahaha now you're totally like " i know i stated Opinion as fact but his opinion is good as fact in my opinion. "
Opinion is Opinion and Fact is Fact
I can glad debate either in context but trying to blur the lines between the 2 is a choice i dont endorse.

Friedman is a guy who's doing like any other writter : put some cream in the jelly bean to make you bite. So twisting many thing that need to be decipher properly, and sometime having cue. I have few twitter talk with an agent from MTL in the past and even few in Russia and I can assess that many time rhumorists are prying things to the limits. Here on PLD it's pure thoughs not backed nor close to what Kings are looking for (they want a goalie).

So you believe that Freidman was just spouting crap when he said that Hughes was offered a 1st for Anderson but when the shoe is on the other foot you believe everything he says and he is now a reputable source. Talk about bias

I read/heard somewhere that Brisson might be orchestrating the Dubois trade which could work out well for the Jets, honestly he'll probably get a better return for Winnipeg then Chevy could.. 🤣

When did I say that he was spouting crap about that? I believe friedman has good sources and is trustworthy with what he reports. So if that’s what he said, it’s likely true. Do I agree that Anderson fetches a first? Probably not, but that’s just my opinion.

He 100000% would be able to orchestrate and get a better return than Chevy.
