Seems like the Flyers wouldn't retain the long. But I'm not that impressed with Sanheim and his contract. Retention would be necessary. If there is a trade for Sanheim, don't think the Leafs would be the team in on a deal.

He's only 27 but the Flyers know he wont be in his prime or at the end when they are contenders if ever.

I love these ‘reports’ 😂. Always wonder who leaked and why? Leafs checking in could mean anything; I would think a lot of teams check in with other teams all the time. Seriously doubt there is a fit here given that massive deal Sanheim just signed

That's the issue I think for all teams. Eight years of Sanheim. LHDs aren't that hard to find

Use some common sense. The Flyers aren't tying up one of their 3 retainment spots for 8 years. Second, if you are getting Sanheim for only 3.25 million you can double that price you think you would get him for. Back to the drawing board for you.
