Canes decline, Robertson holds no value because he's so injury prone. 2 2nds ain't enough for Pesce

That’s an easy no for Anaheim

Gibson has already said no to Toronto and we aren’t moving McTavish

Wow, these values are all over the place. I don't think you're maximizing on Marner here and you're super generous to Vancouver. On the other hand, Carolina snorts like a bull at that. A couple nice UFA adds, though.

When they hit 40-50 in their first full season at age 19? Uhh yeah. Really valuable.

NSH declines. No interest in bringing Jarny back. Forward core for next year is likely set and no room for him.

As well as being a center

My favorite thing on here is when people say crap like this as they trade for the players

My favorite thing on here is when clueless people hype up a 40 point as if theyre more valuable than the 100 point guy theyd be getting in the trade. You keep playing checkers while Im at the chess board

Eight years of McTavish is worth a lot more to us than two years of Marner, and the thought that we would take Marner's $10.9 million cap hit off your hands and then retain $12.8 million on John Gibson is utterly hilarious. That's easily the funniest thing I've seen on CapFriendly this month.

My favorite thing on here is when Toronto fans think they can dig themselves out of the cap hell that Dubas put them in while getting premium cost controlled assets back.

Given the Leafs have zero leverage due to his full NMC and huge contract, you're going to be looking at a Eichel like return there bud. Limited bidders means limited return.

Either way, we'll take our chances with our "40 point winger"

Nah, dude. You're ignoring all context here. And pretending like McTavish is 1) some winger 2) in the "he is what he is" phase of his career when he is neither. Anaheim is not in a place to trade top young talent for 11M veteran wingers two years from UFA, nor are they going to retain some monster amount for you. You're not on the chess board, you're on the NHL23.

Marner isn't a 100-point guy. He's a zero-point guy to us in 2025-2026 because he wouldn't be re-signing with us, whereas we expect McTavish to be an 80-point guy that season, and for four or five more seasons after that. As the esteemed @mokumboi says, you're oblivious to context here.

McTavish is in the 'he is what he is' part of the career until proven otherwise... until then he is just 40 point guy that might do more down the road. Potential and proven are 2 totally different things so as far as context goes you are the one that is using subjective reasoning over objective

Just trade him to Chicago for Bedard, because apparently in the "is what he is" part of his career too. See how fast that logic breaks down?

Answers no dude, you can argue with the rest of the forum here until you're blue in the face, no one on here that's not a Leafs homer thinks Anaheim takes this deal.

McTavish will be a star. He put up those points despite being tried out all over the lineup from 1LW to 3C on a team that couldn't get out of their own end to save their lives.

Uhh what are you babbling about? Just for starters, you clearly don't understand what objective means.

So by your logic, Knies is valued as a 1 point guy who may do more down the road. Ignore that he’s 20 years old, only got 3 regular season games in, or 4 playoff points. Verbeek will politely decline your trade but gladly let himself be ripped off by trading a 3rd rounder for your ‘underperforming’ forward that couldn’t even make the lineup until the last 3 games of the regular season
