Can’t see LA biting their left side top 4 is filled already with Gavrikov and Anderson. No need for a near 5 mill 3rd pair dman.

Also Trevor Moore just signed an extension and is Cali royalty that the fans love no way they move him

If he scores 60 points in a Habs Jersey the local boy from Pointe-Claire ain't going nowhere!

To me, why would you trade Matheson away if he puts up 60 for you? Looks like he’s real comfortable in Montreal plus guys a local! Keep him if he plays as well as he did last year for you!

Can't see Blake doing that as said above his left side is fine and signing guys to extensions then trading them before they play a second of it is really bad business.

None of these trades make MTL better and that's not even a high price for Matheson

As much as I want nothing to do with Dvorak, the 1st makes it worthwhile

I’d 100% take that. It’s a deal in the 2024 offseason, which means it’s literally Beauvillier’s UFA rights for Dvorak and a 1st. Dvorak can probably then be flipped for like a 3rd. Even if we just move Dvorak for FC’s, getting a 1st for UFA rights is an absurd overpay.

Like i said it will not happen.Cant see their GM make that trade.A.B. is just not worth a first .I im of the belief that we trade for players we need.Just my opinion.

Actually Matheson, in the little sample he had in Mtl was in the best offensive defenseman in many stats. He also had great defensive metrics with a absolute garbage team. So he would be more their 1st lhd. He was that good last year. But i do agree that L.A would not target Matheson. They have a pretty deep roster. Goaltending is probably the only question mark.

You also have to remember fit though right. You aren’t gonna stick an offensive minded dman with doughty that’s why they have Anderson and I know they are probably gonna give Brandt Clarke some big minutes and given his offensive talent he needs a defensive guy like Gavrikov.

You could argue that matheson - Roy would be a better pairing then Gavrikov and Clarke but I think they want to give Clarke all the opportunities they can
