The Blackhawks do not want to see this. After seeing what Tanner Jeannot received at the TDL last year. It would be extremely foolish to settle for much less prior to the TDL. it would make Kyle Davidson look bad. They're similar players and in similar situations.

What I'm not suggesting is that TRad is guaranteed to get the same return. Just because 1 GM is foolish doesn't mean it'll happen again. What I AM suggesting is that Kyle Davidson will need to wait until the TDL to see. With that said...I do think a 1st is the starting point, BUT that'll all depend on his play this year.

So a cap dump and a 2026 3rd round pick is going to net the oilers a solid young 20 goal scorer signed at league minimum and a better 3rd round pick??
I would absolutely love to see the logic on this one

Raddysh is still under investigation like most of the WJ team, but that aside doubt this is anywhere close to the Hawks' asking price.

Hawks can't decline this fast enough. Oilers get the better pick and the better player? If Oilers want to see this, they up the ante considerably.

Foegele >> Raddysh and it's not close. Hawks fans are falling into the trap of thinking a mediocre player is better than he is because he gets premium ice time (including PP time) on a terrible team. You simply cannot project 20 goals for him if he moved to a better, deeper team like the Oilers, because he won't get PP time and won't play with Patrick Kane.

Foegele v Raddysh, 5v5

Foegele is twice the player offensively. And his IPP was significantly higher too, meaning he was more involved in creating the offense.

This is a very easy no from Edmonton. They aren't actively trying to make their roster worse.

Lol so you think his numbers would get worse on the oilers where he can play with McJesus, Drai, or RNH? what a very interesting take.....

LOL, he wouldn't be playing with those guys. He'd be on the 4th line - he scored at 4th line rates at 5v5 last year.

I agree Foegele is a better player, he is also paid 4x more then Raddysh. Is he 4x the player Raddysh is? No.

One team is up against the cap, the other isn’t. Trading these two players for each other would alleviate the Oilers cap concerns without significantly impacting the depth of the roster, so that on its own makes this a good deal for the Oilers, one for one without any picks involved. For the deal to makes sense for the Hawks, the Oilers should be adding a pick to pay for the Hawks cap space, I would want a 2nd but would probably settle for a 3rd at the end of the day.

Edmonton doesn't have any cap issues right now. The only reason this guy wants some space is because he wants to sign Kane. But since Kane is a midseason signing the Oilers likely will have accrued enough space by then to give him the $1M deal listed above. No trades necessary.

Thanks for the info, I was just going by this site which has them over with a 22 man roster. So I guess it is safe to assume they will run with a short roster for the majority of the season?

Yes, they'll start with a 21 man roster, just like they did last year.

I'd rather have the younger player with upside than the known commodity on a Hawks team that is rebuilding. Maybe in 2-3 years that is the type of deal the Hawks make. But not now.

Nope, Linemates. Unless you're suggesting that Foegele's most common linemates, McLeod, and Puljujarvi are better than any centre and winger Raddysh played with?

Not far off , Raddysh did play for the Hawks after all. Furthermore, because Raddysh was playing on one of the shawls top two lines he probably had tougher defensive matchups then Foegele would face on Edmonton’s 3rd or 4th line.

Better linemates, and now better competition. But nope again Foegele vs Elite, Raddysh vs Elite
