Thread for discussion about the 2023-24 fantasy league.

I will continue to use this first post as a knowledge resource for users in the league and for those who want to be considered for joining the league next season.

2022-23 Champion: CoopsTroops
2022-23 2nd Place: Hurricanes_WPG (who lost because his goalies were garbage)

Alright, first order of business now that we have everyone in the league is to set a draft date/time.
I doubt we will be able to accommodate everyone but we can try to do so for as many as possible.

So, either here or in the league discussion board provide a general availability for having the draft.

I can’t do Mondays after 7 or weekdays during the day but I’m free otherwise

I’m available pretty much every night outside of thursdays, and I’m more than happy to autodraft if I can’t make a date that works for everyone else

Barring any unforeseen circumstances I should be available every evening and on Sundays I’m available the whole day

Had to remind me about my finals loss in the opening post of the season, did you?

My draft availability is Wednesday and Thursday after 7pm Eastern, and all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (Will likely be unavailable for most of the 7th)

I will also make myself an autodraft list if necessary.

All day Saturday and Tuesday evening next week are a no for me. Would prefer no earlier than 5pm MST if it’s this Sunday cuz I have 2 other drafts that afternoon lol. Weeknights next week (preferably 6pm MST or later, although not too late for the east coasters obviously) or the weekend of Oct 7/8, with the exception of 6:30-8:30pm MST on Oct. 8, would be good (hopefully, unless I get sent to a mine on zero notice again, which actually has a decent chance of happening 🙃).

Also Basement Bois and Jonathan Hockey were my irl friends who took over teams from people that quit halfway through the season. They’re down to be in again if there’s space. Sorry for not bringing this up sooner, I haven’t been super active on cf recently.

@CoopsTroops do we have a verdict yet...because if it doesn't work for me I need to do an auto draft list, so knowing the date and time, sooner the better!

It will not be this weekend.

I will review everyone's input and set a date and time by Sunday night.

Draft will happen no earlier than Tuesday night.

@CoopsTroops is there space for these guys? Also it seems like Wednesday at 9pm EST works the best for everyone.

Also to summarize my availability in one post:
Oct. 6 and onwards don't work (in the field with limited to no wifi)
Tuesday evening doesn't work
Thursday evening could work, but would prefer another day (I have another draft at 9pm EST that day)

Draft is preliminarily set for Wednesday, October 4th @ 8PM ET


Also, a few notes:
- If you cannot make the draft, please edit your team's draft strategy so that you can help determine who is autopicked for your team
- Draft order automatically randomizes an hour before the draft
- Divisions have been randomized

I'm not against it, but @ ALL does anyone have any objections.

We could adjust roster sizes if needed.
