Timmins and Gambrell are injured and will most likely be placed on LTIR. Toronto is already cap compliant. I guarantee there's little to no chance Ottawa would consider trading Chychrun. Especially to another team in there own conference.

Sens need about 2m in cap, they have 3 players they can trade to get that room, Joseph, Kubalik and Brannstrom. They won’t move a big piece for pennys to get 2m in space, doesn’t make any sense. Think of it this way, If the leafs needed 2m in space, do you trade Jarnkrok or do you trade Nylander? Answer is pretty obvious

That is the most sensible answer yet , then like I said before it is a under pay and would need a 1st added in if it were even a option . At this point was thinking trades that could help both teams cap wise and not ruin either team. Lets not forget Brodie is a good defender that would fit better in OTT then in TML.

For sure Brodie is solid, but Chychrun is also a hometown kid and honestly think he is absolutely thrilled being in Ottawa. Think they’d look at moving Zub before Chychrun, although I still think they’d rather just package whatever with one of those other 3 and just get Pinto signed! At least that’s what I’d do lol
