Others have latched onto the Connor Brown trade but I have a question about his bonus: he’s owed $3.225M in bonuses if he plays 10 games this season. Let’s say he plays 20 games for Edmonton and then gets traded. Would Edmonton also be trading the cap overage penalty next year? Or would that have accrued to the team he was playing for when the bonus was earned?

Why would the Devils do this? they need size and phyiscal and Defense.

Canucks easily decline. Myers has actually been really solid this year and is playing the best hockey he has in years under Tocchet. He's also a major veteran presence and a leader in the locker room. Wouldn't trade him straight up for Ceci, let alone add a 3rd and a young prospect who was tearing up the AHL.

If they trade him and he plays game 10 with someone else, I imagine team 2 will pay. Kinda interesting to be cap dumping a player who isn’t under contract next season but will be on your books.
