Just curious. How is Leo Carlsson on this list and Bedard isn't? Isn't it ridiculous to label rookies as future Hall of famers?

If Quinn Hughes, Miro Heiskinen are there, Dahlin should be as well.

If Mark Stone is there, Jack Eichel and Alex Pietrangelo should be.

Lol, Luke Hughes / Leo Carlsson. Why no Bedard ?

Brayden Point is closer to HOF than Hughes, Hischer, Aho and Barkov

Personally, I would have waited until his 15th game, at least

(Not my list).

I think discussing anyone with under 10 years in league is a bit silly…it’s their article

I'm sure Knights fans would love to get him out of the division but considering Garland already pulled his trade request I wouldn't expect Pettersson to go anywhere

There are a lot of guys on here who will go on to have jersey numbers retired, but I see very few surefire hall of famers on this list.

Unless you're a truly special player at a young age, I'm not at all interested in HOF conversations until a player is in their 30s.

Off the top of my head, here's my list of active NHLers who are 100% HOF guys one day. In no Particular order

McDavid
Crosby
Karlsson
Perry
Stamkos
Malkin
Kucherov
Vasilevsky
Matthews
Hedman
Fleury
Kopitar
Draisaitl
Makar
Ovechkin

Might be missing a couple of obvious ones, but pretty much anyone else is marginal/ not ready to be in that conversation/ will get in when they're old.

Scott Gomez can go in, but only if he's inducted as an Ottawa Senator

Been at least a Norris runner-up 2 of the last 3 years, and won it at 23.

Scoring 29 goals for a defenseman is a very impressive and rare feat (only 2 people have done that since the turn of the millennium)... Burns deserved that Norris. According to Hockey Reference, the 6 guys who have the closest career to Burns in terms of career quality and length are all in the hall of fame

Karlsson had 82 points in 82 games in 15/16 and lost the Norris to Doughty because Karlsson wasn't good enough defensively. In 16/17 Karlsson was the best player in the League not named Crosby or McDavid, and was 2nd in the league in blocked shots, only to lose it to a forward playing D who scored a lot of goals despite being worse defensively than Karlsson has ever been.

This is my hill, and I will die mad atop it.
