I've said this elsewhere, and I know they're not on the same continent in terms of caliber of player, but asking Columbus to trade Jenner is like asking the price on Crosby in Pittsburgh. Both are the captain, signed sweetheart deals to stay in the city, and are the current games-played record holders for the franchise. They're worth way more to either team than any other team would sensibly be willing to pay. Columbus laughs and declines, he's just not available at all.
Danforth already signed an extension in Columbus, and for Korpi: teams don't trade players a quarter of the way into the first season of a 5-year deal. Edmonton is better off looking elsewhere for both upgrades.
